Khushi and Arnav were going through a rough patch. They avoided each other, in fact it was all down to Arnav's old flame Sheetal. She decided that she wanted Arnav and that was it. Usually Arnav is a faithful husband who is always doting on his wife but recently he seemed detached from her. They hardly had any rabba ve moments, she was often too tired to wait for him when he returned from work. However it was Sheetal who was now serving his dinner, Sheetal who woke up early for Arnav. At first Arnav didn't read into it however lately he noticed his wife wasn't concerned about his wellbeing, rather it was Sheetal. It made him think.
"Khushi where is my suit?! I have a very important meeting today and you're still in bed! What nonsense is this?!" shouted Arnav. "Arnav it should be there! Find it yourself, I'm tired" cried Khushi from under the blankets. Arnav was fuming, he ran downstairs "HP! HP!" he shouted, "ouch". He had bumped into Sheetal. "Arnav what's wrong?" asked Sheetal. "Nothing Sheetal, I just can't find my suit and.." before he could continue Sheetal pulled his suit from behind her "here you go, I noticed HP had gone out and your suit was just lying on the sofa so I took the pleasure of ironing it". "Oh. Thank you sheetal, you shouldn't have" he said as he took the suit from her hands slightly brushing against her which made herbblush. Arnav had noticed this, he smiled and gave her a cheeky wink and walked back to his room. He saw Khushi was no longer in bed. "Now she decides to wake up" he muttered to himself and continued to get changed. Just then Khushi had emerged from the bathroom, patting her face with her towel. "Arnav, oh you found your suit? I was just going to get it out for you" she said. She looked incredibly pale but Arnav had failed to notice this. In fact he didn't even make eye contact with her "go back to sleep Khushi, Sheetal ironed it for me" and walked off.
Khushi thought to herself "why would sheetal iron Arnav's clothes? In fact I ironed it for him yesterday and left it his wardrobe". For the next few days Khushi's condition began to worsen, she constantly felt tired and sick. She had Arnav hardly spoke to each other, she tried to pacify him but he would just walk off. In fact he had been spending a lot of time with Sheetal and secretly Khushi began to wish that Sheetal would just leave but everyone loved her and they were unwilling to let her go.
Khushi finally booked herself an appointment at the hospital; she didn't want to bother Arnav so one early morning she had gone alone to attend her meeting. "Di, have you seen Khushi?" asked Arnav as he walked down, "No chote, she just left without saying anything" replied a cheerful Di. "Di, has she made my lunch and dinner? I won't be returning home until late" asked Arnav. Anjali looked a bit worried "actually Chote, I dont know I'll ask HP", "No Di, leave it. I'm going to work".Arnav slowly began to lose his temper with his wife. He would confront her tonight he thought to himself.
Meanwhile at the hospital, "Congrats Mrs Raizada, you're pregnant! From all the tests we have conducted it appears you're two months pregnant and with twins!" said Doctor Sharma. Khushi began to well up, she couldn't wait to go hone today and tell Arnav. She realised that recently she was ignoring him but she knew that he would understand once she told him everything. A glowing Khushi decided to go to the shopping mall, she wanted to buy a pair of baby overalls. Little did she know today would be the happiest yet the most saddest day of her life. Arnav was also at the shopping mall, AR designs were putting on a public catwalk show.
Khushi spent two hours looking for the perfect clothes, "excuse uncle, could you please show me this top but in yellow?!"she asked the shop keeper. Just then a young tall handsome man accidently brushed against her "oh my I'm so sorry!" he said as he looked at an annoyed Khushi. Khushi ignored him until a small girl came running upto him. "Papa, papa what will you buy me?!" said the little girl as she climbed into her fathers arms. Both Khushi and the man exchanged glances, "what would my baby like? Maybe a beautiful green dress? Or would she like a pair of dungarees instead?" asked the man as he gave his daughter a kiss on the cheek. "Papa you buy whatever you like, I'm going to go and play in the kiddies corner" and she ran off. Khushi smiled as the little girl was running to play.
The man caught Khushi looking at his daughter, "hi, I'm Raj" he said, Khushi didn't introduce herself."I'm really sorry, I didn't meam to brush up against you. Please don't think ill of me, as I didn't do it intentionally. I mean come on I have a daughter and one day she will grow up to be a young woman herself so it's obvious I wouldn't do something like that on purpose." said Raj, sincerely.
Khushi smiled at him "I'm Khushi, your daughter is very sweet". "Thank you, those tops are very nice" said Raj nodding towards them. Khushi blushed as she looked at the two baby tops in her hand. "Congrats" said Raj. Khushi looked at him, how did he know that I'm pregnant?! Am I ready showing?!. "I guess you're thinking how did I know you're pregnant? Well you have the same glow my wife had when she was pregnant with Maya". Khushi smiled again. She paid for her two baby tops and she bid the shop keepers goodbye, she looked at Raj, smiled and said bye. Arnav had spotted his wife in the shop, he was about to approach her but just then Khushi began to feel unwell, she grabbed Raj by his shoulders. Raj realised that Khushi was about to faint so he pulled her close to him. "Khushi, khushi are you okay?" he said stroking her face.
Arnav clenched his fists, "what the?!??! So she's having an affair?" he couldn't make out who the man was but he wasn't going to let Khushi get away with this and he drove home in a rage.
"Khushi, are you okay?", Raj felt uncomfortable holding her so close to him so he asked the shop keeper for a chair, he took Khushi to the seat and helped her sit down. One of the shop keepers gave him a glass of watef "Khushi I need you to drink this". After a few minutes Khushi felt much better, "thank you Raj ji, if you weren't here I would have completely collapsed".. "Ah Khushi, no need to say thanks but may I and Maya drop you off?" asked Raj. "No Raj ji, I have brought my car with me and the driver is probably waiting. But thank you once again and I must go" said Khushi, slowly getting up. And she walked away.
Back home, Arnav was pacing in his room. There was no else home apart from Sheetal. Sheetal made her way to Arnav's room. "Arnav, what's wrong?" she asked, placing her hand on his shoulder. He didn't reply. "Arnav, come sit down" and she led him to the recliner. Arnav looked at Sheetal, she looked different he thought. To him Khushi was the most beautiful woman but Sheetal looked breathtaking today. He was unaware of Sheetal's plans to break him and Khushi up. "Arnav is it Khushi? Are you upset because she's been ignoring you?" asked Sheetal. Arnav looked shocked, was it that obvious he thought. "How did you know?" he asked.
"Arnav, it's obvious. Everyone is talking about you and Khushi have changed. In fact Mami was telling me how before you two were inseparable" replied a very evil Sheetal. She knew Arnav was feeling vulnerable so now is her chance to implement her master plan. Arnav poured his heart out to Sheetal, he told her what he had witnessed. Sheetal gave him a hug and cupped his face, wiping away his tears with her thumb. "Arnav, no matter what I'm here for you. Always. Forever". He looked up at her, she leaned towards him, he remained still. She tilted her head, she gave pulled his face towards her. A thousand memories were flashing through Arnav's head. He closed his eyes, Sheetal closed hers.Just then Khushi walked in and she gasped causing Arnav to open his eyes. He saw Khushi, he pulled himself away from Sheetal.
"Khushi, this is not what it looks like" cried Arnav. "I never thought you would betray me Arnav" shouted a hormonal Khushi. She walked upto Sheetal and slapped her "have you no shame Sheetal ji, I welcome you to my home" before Khushi could continue Arnav interrupted her "my home you mean, and don't you dare touch Sheetal. I want you to get out now Khushi, I want you to pack your bags and go" said a calm Arnav. Khushi couldn't believe her ears "Arn..". "I said now, Khushi" slightly raising his tone. Sheetal walked out the room with a smirk. Khushi didn't question Arnav, she packed her bags and before she left, she wrote Arnav a letter and left it with her pregnancy reports in his wardrobe.
6 months had passed. Khushi was 8 months pregnant. She was kicked out the Raizada mansion, to save face and her sister's marriage Khushi decided to move into a flat of her own. For 6 months she had been providing for herself. She didn't keep contact with anyone. Neither Payal nor any of the Gupta's.They would call her but not once did she receive They the call. Occasionally she did send a letter, reassuring them that she was fine but they didn't know where she was. Every night Khushi thought to herself how could Arnav be so heartless? I left the reports yet he had never made any attempt to contact me. Little did Khushi know the day she had left Sheetal crept back into Arnav's room and discovered the reports, which she then had burnt.
Arnav didn't tell the Raizada family the reason why Khushi had left. During the past 6 months Sheetal started to poison Arnav's mind. She suggested that they should get engaged. After Khushi had left Arnav kept himself to himself and occasionally spent time with Sheetal but he didn't want to sleep with her nor did he want any commitment. He just saw Sheetal as a friend, much to Sheetal's displeasure.
It was two weeks before Khushi's due date, she was struggling to get out from bed but yet she had forced herself. She decided it was time to prepare for her two babies. She went back to the mall with the very little money she had. She looked around, trying to find clothes and bottles for cheap and suddenly a familiar child had ran past her."Khushi!" she turned around and saw Raj. He noticed how pale she looked, dark circles under her eyes. She was no longer glowing. "Wow Khushi, you've grown!" he chuckled as he walked upto her. "Hi Raj ji, what are you doing here?". "Well Khushi, Maya wanted to come out again, so I decided to bring her to the mall. I'm glad that I did! Anyway how are you?" asked a concerned Raj. "I'm fine Raj ji, just shopping. My babies will be here soon so I need to be prepared" she said with a smile. "Well shouldn't your husband be doing that?!" asked Raj, he noticed how her smile had faded. He looked at her "ah, trouble in paradise? C'mon tell me all about it over coffee" and he led her to a coffee shop.
Khushi told him everything and how she was now a single parent. What shocked Khushi was that Raj too was a single parent, his wife had passed away during labour and he has now devoted his whole life to Maya.Khushi admired him. "Khushi, once you give birth I would like for you to work for my company. I own a fairly large fashion house and I would like you to take up a position" said Raj. Without thinking twice Khushi had agreed and she had even taken his offer of driving her home; that night Khushi had slept peacefully for the first time in 6 months.
The next day Raj was making his way to a meeting, he had come up with a new idea. "Hi Arnav! Long time no see!" cried Raj, hugging Arnav. "I know Raj it's been forever" said Arnav reciprocating the hug. "Now Arnav let's get down to business. I have come up with a new idea which will help merge our fashion houses together". "Well Raj, lets hear your amazing idea" chuckled Arnav. "Well I'd like to introduce a maternity collection, I knoe its something we haven't done before but we need to take risks" said Raj. "Interesting, elaborate.." muttered Arnav. "Well 6 months ago, I came across a young girl in a shopping mall, a newly pregnant girl. In fact I came across her yesterday anyway she seems like a sophisticated girl so I would like to name the collection after her. I would like to name it Khushi" smiled Raj. "What?" cried Arnav. "Out of all the names, why this name?" asked Arnav. "Arnav, it's a good name. Pregnancy is associated to happiness however in this girls situation it isn't. Her husband kicked her out" said Raj. "What?" Arnav whispered. "Yeah I remember the first time I saw her, she was glowing ha well she also fell into my arms. She was so fragile" chuckled Raj. "Where and when did this all happen Raj?" asked a very curious Arnav.
"Oh about 6 months ago at the very same mall you were doing your public catwalk" replied a confused Raj "but why do you ask Arnav?". "Raj, can you take me to see this girl? I mean she might be perfect for our cover page" lied Arnav. "Yes, of course, we can go now!" said a very excited Raj. And they drove off to Khushi's house!
Arnav felt butterflies floating in his stomach. They had reached Khushi's house."Here we are!" said Raj. Both Raj and Arnav walked towards the house, Raj knocked on the door. "Khushi it's me" he shouted. They could hear her walk upto the door. Khushi opened the door and before her stood her husband and Raj. She placed her hand on her belly which caught Arnav's attention. Her eyes began to well up, "Arnav ji?" she whispered. Raj looked confused "wait what you two know each other?" asked Raj. "Khushi is my wi.." before Arnav could continue Khushi said "Arnav is my ex husband" which shocked Arnav. "What?!??!?!!" shouted Raj. "Arnav don't tell me that this is bhabi? The bhabi that you said had left?". Arnav nodded, staring at Khushi. "How could you Arnav?" shouted Raj, he looked at his friend with disgust and then he had turned to Khushi. "Raj ji, is there anything else I can help you with?" asked Khushi smiling at him. Raj nodded his head and said "we'll take our leave now, c'mon Arnav".
Arnav didn't budge. "No Raj, I need to talk to Khushi. You go". Raj didn't say anything and he walked off. Arnav walked into Khushi's house. "Khushi.. why didn't you tell me?" asked a guilty Arnav. "Tell you? TELL YOU?! IF YOU WEREN'T SO BUSY MAKING OUT WITH SHEETAL I WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU! AND HOW DARE YOU COME INTO MYYY HOUSE AND QUESTION ME?!" shouted Khushi which took Arnav aback. "Khushi you need to calm down, it's not good for you to shout in your condition" he said trying to approach her. "Don't you dare take one more step towards me and don't you dare tell me what to do! You didn't seem concerned when I left you the pregnancy reports and letter in your wardrobe so why care now?!" shouted Khushi, "you go back and play happy families with Sheetal".
"Khushi, there was no letter or report in my wardrobe?" said a confused Arnav. "Don't lie.I left it before I left YOUR house". "Khushi I'm so sorry, I didn't find any letter. Khushi please let me explain. Please Khushi. There's nothing going on between me and Sheetal that night was just a moment of madness" and he explained himself and how he misunderstood Raj and Khushi's hug.
Khushi begged Arnav to leave "please Arnav, go away. I don't want anything to do with you Please!". Arnav hated himself, he hated how he always hurt her and for once when she finally got over him he had walked back into her life. "Okay Khushi, I will never return. I pro" before he could continue, Khushi screamed "arghhh. Arnav!". Arnav ran towards her, "Khushi whats wrong?!?!" cried Arnav. "Arnav I think Im in labour. Arnav please help me. Please don't leave me again" cried a very frightened Khushi. "I promise Khushi, I will never ever doubt you and I promise that I will always be by your side". Arnav had taken Khushi to the hospital where she gave birth to a boy and a girl, much to Arnav's surprise. That day Arnav had begged Khushi for forgiveness and like always she forgave him, on one condition, that Sheetal has to move out Without a seconds delay, Arnav agreed. He decided to surprise his family and rushed home, promising Khushi that he will be back to take her and his prince and princess home.
Arnav debated how to tell Sheetal to move out, he reached home and ran to Sheetal's room. She was no where to be seen. Arnav spotted a letter on Sheetal's table. It was the very letter Khushi told him about. One by one Arnav placed all the pieces together. He realised how Sheetal began to poison his mind against Khushi. Just then Sheetal walked in, "get out" he shouted, clenching his fists "get out before I drag you out the house by your hair" threatened Arnav.
Without another word Sheetal walked out. She had lost against Khushi. That night before Khushi came home Arnav was truthful and told both the Gupta's and Raizada's the reason why Khushi had left. They shouted and screamed at him, Nani even slapped him but nothing could get him down today. "I know you must all hate me, but I have a surprise for you". He ran to open the main door and there stood Khushi in a red saree holding both her babies in her arm. The two families ran to Khushi, hugging her, kissing her.
After several months the families were back to normal and Arnav was more faithful than ever.
