Katrina spends time with Ranbir?

Katrina may want us to believe that she welcomed the New Year in London with her family, but fans spotted her walking the streets of New York's tony district with Ranbir Kapoor

Much as she would like the whole world to believe that she is with her family in London, ushering in the New Year, Katrina Kaif, as Mirror has learnt, is enjoying the winter chill in New York. And it is not just the layers of designer woollens that is keeping her warm, but the company of a certain Ranbir Kapoor.

The 'couple' who have been carefully planning their time out over the months to avoid being spotted with each other, have often failed to evade their fans and the paparazzi. Just before leaving the city, Kat told all her close pals that she will spend Christmas and New Year's with her family in London. Well, she did spend Christmas with her family, but after a couple of days, flew out to be with Ranbir in New York.

Even though the two tried their best to remain incognito – what with the caps and the coats and the stoles – they could not elude heir keen fans. In fact, one of them told Mirror that on the eve of New Year, the two, "looking every bit in love" were roaming the chic streets of New York's Manhattan district. They have reportedly checked into a five-star there.

When Mirror called up Katrina's London number (which reportedly belongs to her grandmother), no one answered the phone. Attempts to reach her elsewhere also were in vain.

It's not the first time that Katrina and Ranbir have partied together on New Year's Eve. When Ranbir was in New York shooting for Anjaana Anjaani, Kat had joined him there, once again after a brief halt in London.
