I hope, I really hope that her tragic death can be the catalyst for change in the Indian justice system and its role in protecting women and girls.

I really, really hope so. I think it can be done if people of all ages across the country from celebs to those in rural areas makes their voice heard.

Sad thing is that this case is just the tip of a big, nasty iceberg...that in of itself is just not right.

Other sad news, a 17-year old girl commits suicide in Punjab after the police refuse to listen to her allegations about being gang raped.

So disgusted with the gov't and police force.

So sad. I hope justice isn't denied this time and the protests continue until some action is taken. She was still critical after so many days in the hospital. I can't even imagine how badly they must have beat her.
