Actually why Akram and his cronies, I think Asad also needs a big kick on his ass! 😛 He had no business forcing Zoya to meet Akram - it was not his place to interfere! 😲 If anyone could it would be her jija and didi.
By doing so, he basically decided to play Judge and pronounce a sentence for Zoya. Moreover, indirectly he also took responsibility for Akram's character and behaviour and just for that, he has a lot to answer for!HE put Zoya in a position where she was almost married off forcefully against her wishes. And he is wholly and solely responsible for that and her state! I hope she doesn't go all lovey dovey, mooney eyed and forgiving just because he landed in the nick of time to extract her from a situation which he was responsible for in the first place!I hope she gives him a lot of grief and refuses to talk to him / acknowldege him - I would be very dissapointed if she did not!
More or less, i agree. Asad is a rigid authoritarian , prejudiced and conservative. He is so used to taking decisions for others and relying on his own judgment of people, that even if he tries, he wouldn't see beyond Zoe's Westernized persona and her liberal spirit. But this event should be an eye opener for him. He should reflect on the fact that Zoe could have even died because of the situation he put her in. He should also understand that ppl do not always appear what they are and vice versa. In short, this should be the beginning of his prejudice wearing off.
As for Zoe, i really don't know how she will react on all this. Asad puts her in trouble and then, gets her out of it and that two-edged situation makes it kinda of difficult to arrive on a one-dimensional behaviour towards the other person. I mean, its like, you push me off the cliff first and then, you risk your life to save me from the same. In that situation, i will not know what to do with you. Say thank you? Or beat the living daylights out of you?🤔
