Coming to Aarti narrating her past:
She thought she was talking to Prashant. She needed to let this out, because this was her pent up feelings coming out after many years. The conversation was not about Yash because she thought that she was talking to Prashant, so why should she need to address her feelings about Yash? So I thought that her dialogues today were completely logical because she was trying to tell Prashant that he meant the world to her once, but it's too late now. Her feelings for Yash should not matter here because it wouldn't mean anything if she was talking to Prashant.
Today's episode also proved one more thing to me, and that is that the CVs are so flipping realistic and amazing! In Punar Vivah the lead girl loves the lead guy, but there was someone else in her past, just like many other shows. However, a huge difference in our serial and most others, a very realistic one, is that the CVs of Punar Vivah are showing it like it is in real life: Aarti still has some feelings for Prashant. She lived with him for years, he was her first love, so she should automatically have a soft spot for him, because all those years they spent together means something. All those years matter. You just don't stop loving someone. Aarti moved on and is in love with Yash now for sure, but she doesn't have to be in love with Prashant to love him. The way she had a smile on her face when she described her "beautiful moments" with Prashant were enough to convince me that our CVs are amazing! I love them! I haven't seen one show like this.
The only thing I didn't like was Aarti going to the temple and talking about her majboori again. I refuse to believe that she's helpless about anything in this situation. She's just scared of Yash's reaction. The only reason this didn't sit too well with me is because I don't want her to start praying to god in every episode again, like she did in the post Mumbai track. I really found that annoying.
I loved the pathetic fallacy in the episode, where the storm raged along with Yash. It was done really well! Yash didn't break Aarti's pictures and belongings like he did with Arpita's, the storm outside did it for him.
I'm almost sure that Yash will keep quiet and won't let Aarti realize he knows.
I love you CVs!
