PART 5
The 4th friend did not turn up when asked Annie said, 'her exams have been announced, so she will not be able to come'
'She studies' I asked, 'yes, she has taken a year's break, and her 2nd semester exams are due to start this week'
I smiled, 'all your friends are Post graduates, why did she take a break'
'She wanted to work first' she said, 'she was here at Agra, working at RBSERC college as guest lecturer, she then realized there is no scope in teaching line without PG and PhD'
The name of the college, yes it was the same college where students from AEC went to give exams, was that invigilator Annie's friend.
Better I ask her name, 'what is your friend's name, by any chance it starts with C or Y' my heart was erotically beating
She nodded, 'no Bhai her name is' before she could complete the statement Pinky came running in, shouting Annie's name on the top of her voice
Annie left with an excited Pinky.
Maa was very disappointed with Annie's friend's not coming. I simply did not want to know why.
It has been almost a year since then, I was not able to forget her; initially I tried not to remember her, but slowly her image became part of my thought process.
So many times I saw her around me that I simply stopped minding her presence, now for me she was as if she was real; I talked to her discuss my problems and was always able to find some solution.
One fine day, Maa came in my room and said, 'can we talk?' I was surprised, she never had to ask me, there must be something important.
She sat down and caressed my head, 'Maan, don't interfere until I finish talking' I silently agreed.
She said, 'you are 26 now, our only son. I have met a certain girl, and I want you to, marry her' I did not say anything, by the tone of her voice I knew this time she will not hear to any of the excuses given by me.
I said, 'Maa I will only agree after she agrees to marry me even after knowing the truth' Maa sighed, 'ok you do one thing you write everything that you want her to know in a letter and I will give it to her'
I said, "ok give a a day or two I will write"
I sat with a pen and paper and started writing,
Respected Miss,
Please hit the like tab
My mother told me today that she wanted me to marry you. I know many girls think that I am a good match, but I want to clarify few things about myself before you decide.
I am 26 yrs of age, have completed my B. Tech degree in Civil engineering just last year; you must be wondering what took so long for e to complete the degree which any normal student completes by the age of 21-22; then I would like to tell you that I am not normal.
Don't jump to conclusions before reading the full letter.
please COMMENT
I got admission in the college at the right age, I was 17 when I entered those huge gates of AEC, but things didn't go as per plan; during ragging time, I was asked to jump from the 4th floor of the building.
I played smart and jumped not outside the building but inside the room.
My seniors were pissed, three of them forced me and pushed me from the window and I fell 50 feet down on the ground.
I had multiple fractures, and went in coma.
My class mates complained and action was taken against the three boys who pushed me, they were Dev, Arjun and Adi.
They were expelled for 3 years, they were not bad boys, they were as every teenage boy is a little immature, and they realized their mistake and helped my family emotionally.
I was in coma for 8 months, when I finally came out I could not move due to fractures.
My arms healed, and my right leg was also on way of recovery but my left thigh suffered crushing of bones, it had to be operated 5 times in the next 2 years.
Finally I was able to walk and sit, by this time I joined my father in KC, he use to take me there on the wheelchair and teach me office work, as I had to keep myself busy I concentrated on work.
Finally after 3 year of the accident I joined AEC with tho9se 3 boys, keeping in mind my condition I was not forced to attend classes, permission was given to attend labs and give exams.
With help of my family and doctors now I am fully recovered, and can walk without support but still have a slight limp.
Though doctors say I am fully recovered, but I know that morally I am still distressed and don't know if I can do justice with any relationship.
Think again before saying yes, because I am not ready for any relationship, and last but not the least I am in love with someone, though y love is one sided and I don't k\even know where she is at present.
I will not be able to do justice. My family is not listening to me. This is my last try to say no.
Please think before acting.
Wish you a pleasant and happy future.
Maan
