Chapter Four - Spinning The Bottle On The Truth

Khushi pulled from the kiss with a big grin on her face, still not acknowledging what she had just done, nor whom she had just done it too. Arnav looked at her smirking

'Easy there Khushi, are we really that happy?' Arnav said referring to the kiss, the grin instantly fell off Khushi's face as her eyes widened, she gulped giving him the innocent yet guilty look she always did.

'Oh my god. I'm so sorry I just got really excited and I didn't realize wh-'

'It's okay Khushi, I did give you every right over me as my best friend. Though I wasn't expecting this' Arnav said teasing her. He knew that she didn't mean it in the way other people would think, it was solemnly because of the job she had gotten and the crazy excitement that was bubbling around inside her just waiting to get out. Arnav knew Khushi really well, so he passed it off like a breeze, however something this embarrassing in Khushi's eyes could not go without a little tease from Arnav's behalf. Khushi gasped and hit his arm

'You're not funny!' She stated crossing her arms

'All right sorry! Anyways I was promised food if you got the job. Since its 8pm, where shall we have dinner?' Arnav asked changing the topic to make the situation a little comfortable for Khushi.

'I would have dinner but I have this Varun dude to sort out. I was about to loose the interview because of him!' Khushi said angrily clenching the ends of her dress in her fist. Arnav laughed and placed his hands on her shoulder, slowly turning her around.

'Don't worry about him. I sorted him out before your interview even started' Arnav gloated,

'You did?' Khushi said dwelled with pride and happiness because of her best friend. Arnav dipped his hands in to the front pocket of his jeans and looked up before he nodded smiling. Khushi shot up and hugged him, Arnav held her waist and spun her around before leaving her to her feet again.

'No one can hurt my best friend and get away with it. You know that don't you?' Arnav said the seriousness and devotion in his voice was only understandable to Khushi who bit her lip and nodded shyly.

'So how about that dinner then?' Arnav asked again, Khushi smiled as plans whirled around in her head.

'I have a better idea!' Khushi said excitedly

'Shoot' Arnav requested, waiting to hear what she had planned

'Well, we can have an all-nighter at home! Although you're my best friend, I've come to your home for this month to look after Di and I don't start work before the rest of the two and a half weeks either. By being at home I get to keep an eye on her too. We can order pizza, do prank calls watch films in your screening room and just have a good time! The best part is that its an all-nighter so you have to stay awake all night, it'll be so much fun, what do you say?' Khushi explained tempestuously as she put her hand forward. Arnav froze for a split second before he extended his hand, shaking Khushi's

'I'm in' Arnav said grinning

Khushi walked into the living room with blankets and pillows wearing her shorts and Arnav's top looking cute as always. Arnav came in behind her with their phone and chargers, laptop, phonebooks and drinks.

'Is Di asleep then?' Arnav asked placing the stuff on the sofa as Khushi laid out the blankets and pillows on the floor.

'Yup, I gave her the required tablets with warm milk and she fell asleep soon after. Same with Nani, so its just you and me' Khushi said, excited about the plans.

'Cool, and I'm assuming you've ordered the pizza?' Arnav asked lazily

'Yeah, I'm going to pick it up now' Khushi said grabbing the keys, Arnav looked at her incredulously as he shot up from the living room.

'You're not going alone wearing those clothes! You'll get like raped or something' Arnav excused, clearly annoyed. Khushi began to laugh

'I'm 24 Arnav, I think I'm pretty capable of looking after myself' Khushi breathed, trying hard not to laugh. Arnav walked up to her, also in pajamas and a grey top molded against his perfectly structured body.

'I don't care Khushi, I'm coming with you' Arnav said adamantly

'Fine cranky pants, but I'm still driving' Khushi said walking to the door

'Why don't you drive when I don't know, your going to an interview? You make me drive you around everywhere' Arnav complained

'Oh, so you have one car besides your SUV which is for emergencies when Di and Nani need it, and you want me to take that from them too?' Khushi said raising an eyebrow

'All right fine, let's go' Arnav said shutting the door behind him.

Arnav and Khushi parked in and walked into the pizza shop, men turned and eyed Khushi up and down, only to get dagger eyes when they glanced to Arnav.

'Lets just grab the pizzas and get out of here' Arnav whispered into her ear, anger starting to crawl into his voice. Khushi nodded, not paying any attention to the men around her before she quickly paid and left with the boxes in her hand.

'Gosh, what gets into you sometimes' Khushi said getting into the car

'Me? Those perverts were eyeing you up and down!' Arnav said disgusted

'Calm down, you're acting worse then a jealous boyfriend, they'll get the wrong idea' Khushi said winking

'Well… I don't care. Let them think that, I'd rather let them assume that then me having to punch them away from you' Arnav said with all seriousness. Khushi shook her head in laughter before she put the car in gear and drove back to Shantivan.

'So, what do you want to do first' Arnav said grabbing a slice of pizza from the box as they both sat on the blankets in the living room.

'We can watch a movie, or prank call or play games?' Khushi said, opening a bottle of root beer

'Let's play a game. How about when you finish with the root beer we play spin the bottle?' Arnav chose thoughtfully

'Sounds good' Khushi said before jugging down on her bottle. As soon as it was finished she got up and sat opposite Arnav clearing the space between before placing the bottle down.

'We'll play truths okay?' Khushi asked, Arnav nodded in agreement before Khushi span the bottle which eventually landed on Arnav

'I ask first' Khushi said grinning, trying to think of a question to ask

'As long as you don't ask me some centy or emotional question, shoot' Arnav said

'Okay, so out of all the girls you've been with, even for a day. Did you have any real feelings for any of them?' Khushi questioned slowly, Arnav dropped his gaze in thought trying to find an answer before he looked up at Khushi again.

'If I had developed feelings for even one of them, she'd still be in my life. Sitting here with me' Arnav answered truthfully, Khushi smiled sympathetically before she shook it off

'Okay, you spin' Khushi said, Arnav laughed

'There are only two of us Khushi. We don't really need to spin a bottle, but have turns' Arnav explained making Khushi feel dumb

'Okay fine, your turn to ask then' Khushi said calmly, Arnav looked at her seriously

'What's your idea of a perfect life partner' Arnav said slowly, Khushi smiled as she went into thought.

'My idea of a perfect person is that their imperfect. That he has flaws, bad habits maybe but he'd only be human. When I'm with him, that he's not bothered about what others will say because he's only bothered about me. He's possessive over me and he'd want to spend the rest of his life with me. He'd treat me like I'm made of glass but love me like a kid is inseparable from their belongings. He'd be proud to walk hand in hand with me because he knows who I really am on the inside. Someone who I'll have for eternity' Khushi explained, pouring the words out of her heart. Arnav looked at her and gulped, his best friend was so perfect and simple yet she loved people who were imperfect and such. She never failed to surprise him despite their strong bond for ten years or even longer.

'You're perfect, do you know that?' Arnav blurted, Khushi grinned at him sheepishly

'Now who's going centy on who hey?' Khushi said raising an eyebrow

'Okay sorry' Arnav said holding his ears

'Its okay, so can we do prank calls now? Please!' Khushi squealed, before Arnav could approve Khushi jumped up and grabbed the phone and phonebook

'Wait, who are you going to call?' Arnav asked

'Samiha! She's been crazy about you since you hired her at AR! I'm going to pretend to be your secretary Lavanya and tell her that Arnav Singh Raizada is in love with you' Khushi said cheekily

'And you wonder how I'm with someone else every week?' Arnav said raising an eyebrow, Khushi pouted in request making him groan 'Okay fine, go on'

Khushi grinned as she connected to Samiha on speakerphone, she cleared her throat, ready to put on Lavanya's voice

-Hello?

-Hi Samiha, its Lavanya!

-Hi Lavanya! What's up? You're calling pretty late, something wrong?

- OH-EM-GEE Samiha didn't you hear about ASR?

-ASR?! What about him!?

-He told Khushi, his best friend, who told me that he's in love with you!

-WHAT!

-Yes, oh my god Samiha, jealous!

-I CANT BELIEVE IT, WHAT ELSE?

-He said that he'd love to see you in a bikini one day

-Really?

-Yes! You should definitely wear your net see-through dress to work one day!

-Oh my god! I will! Thank you so much Lavanya! Mwah!

-Anytime babes, Bye! Kiss Kiss!

-Bye!

Khushi cut off only to see a bewildered Arnav looking at her shocked

'What?' Khushi said innocently shrugging her shoulders

'Fist of all, Are you even serious! Why did you do that?' Arnav said shocked at what he would have to witness at work on Monday morning

'It's a little fun, when she finds out that Lavanya hadn't called her she'd have no clue who it'll be' Khushi said laughing

'Fine, but secondly. How the hell did you put on that accent? I was sitting right next to you and I thought you were Lavanya' Arnav said in shock

'She has one of those voices that get stuck in your head and annoy you like hell, so it wasn't hard to catch on' Khushi said crossing her legs

'Misss Gupta, you are one evil person' Arnav said shaking his head

'Shhh, you're not meant to know' Khushi joked laughing

'So what movie do you want to watch now?' Arnav asked, knowing what response he'd get from her

'Salman Khan's film! Bodyguard!' Khushi squealed, Arnav nodded and put the film on as they both settled down next to each other ready to watch the film.

The next morning Anjali and Nani came down, worried to not have found Arnav nor Khushi in their rooms. As soon as they approached the living room they both burst out into giggles. The living room was a complete mess; there were empty pizza boxes and drink cans on the floor, laptop opened on the sofa, phones clattered on the floor and the phonebook open. In the middle of the mess was Arnav and Khushi sleeping soundlessly together. Khushi had her head on Arnav's chest, one of his hands wrapped around her waist with the other hand locked together with Khushi's.

'Okay enough excuses, these two really need to be a couple now' Anjali said, the hint of determination in her voice just could not be missed.

Heyy guys so i read the comments, they're all so nice! thank you so much, and to answer a few questiones

1. Yes i was also imagining Varun and Sidharth from Student of the year because they are so amazing <3_<3

2. Khushi made breakfast because Nani is old now and Anjali is pregnant so there is no one to prepare the food, HP also does many other chores to Khushi takes on the duty of breakfast. Thats the whole reason she's living at Shantivan, to help Di in her last few weeks of pregnancy.

3. They are only best friends, she didn't kiss him because she 'has feelings for him' but because she was soo excited and in the spur of the moment it happened, and they are quite close so it didnt change their friendhsip in any way. It's going to take a hell of alot to break their friendship bond, i'' tell you that right now ;)

Great update. So sweet. OK, thanks for those notes. A bit clear now. But I can see the feelings under the friendship bond. And I can somehow sense the bond will be broken, right? I hope Kushi does not get hurt too much! Or maybe it will be Arnav that gets hurt, this time? I am with Anjali on this, they need to be a real couple. I know it will be a while and they'll probably have to go through growing pains...
