Hey Parichayians

Some of my IF Friends had asked me to organise a Virtual Christmas Party

Now first of all..lemme tell u something abt Christmas

Christmas is the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ.According to the Christian Beliefs, Jesus is the Son of GOD. God sent his only Son to the World..so as to save and redeem Us. Mother Mary gave birth to Jesus in a manger(stable) in Bethlehem...as nobody gave them (Joseph n Mary) a room in the Inn. An Angel appeared to some sheperds and told them dat THE KING HAS BORN. Hearing thsi good news...the sheperds went quickly to the manger. The three kings from the East also got this good news. They went led by a Star...to a manger..The Three Kings offered Three gifts respectively : gold,frankincense and myrrh

Now lemme tell u...how i celebrate Christmas usually:

On December 1st i make a crib - a replica of the Manger in Bethlehem

Then I decorate a Christmas tree, wid mercury balls, lights,bells etc

We also put up a star in our homes

Something like This:

According to our rites..We fast for all these 25 days. We abstain from having Non-Veg.

Then 2-3 days before Christmas..we sing the Carols in our church...Sometimes we even go to the Parish Members' houses...and sing Carols and give them the Christmas Message

Then on 24th ..Christmas Eve...we go for Midnight Mass.. Well in my church..the Service starts at 7pm..We are Syrian Catholics...ans our Service is ver long. Before the Mass starts...we have a Carol Competition..and after that we keep a Gift Giving Ceremony.

Then after the midnight mass, we cut a Plum Cake ...and then we have Cake n Wine at Church. Then we go home and break our fast
