"it is a peculiar duality of feeling- I could never bring myself to like him completely, and thinking about him almost invariably got me worked up. But as it goes, the more you think, the more you analyze. And your subconscious recognizes that there ARE things highly admirable, along with those that are annoying. But you want to insist on disliking them-in the process making them a magnet to you. It's a very exasperating thing that is sort of delightful in a twisted way. You can never figure out your feelings correctly. Every time you analyze, you end up with different conclusions and your love and hate for the person refuses to reconcile to each other, leaving you confused as ever. And this, more often than not, escalates into obsession. I was in the thick of this situation when I watched the movie, and this track clasped on immediately. It must be similar for everybody here who's gone through it. Total "been-there-had-that".

i can totally relate to this. this has happened to me , and it is one excruciating experience.

Abrahan is very much relatable.

He hated Silk coz he was an offbeat filmmaker and received critical acclaim. But they never did well commercially.

Any filmmaker would want to win the hearts of the audience than the awards. That is exactly what Abraham craved for.

He was disappointed that audience loved Silk who was a badass and did things in public which he hated. He was disappointed that she was made a trophy. And this disappointment on the audience led to hatred for Silk.

It was similar, like for example if our parents or friends or someone we love show interest on some other person more than us inspite of the fact that we are more capable and have more mannerisms and ethics and we are more close to them then obviously we'll hate that person.

Hatred is very passionate, the first thing starts from jealousy, crave for acceptance and then hatred.

But hatred seeks challenge and sadistic pleasure. When these two are no longer there then slowly hatred will fade off too. Abraham didnt find these two after the downfall of Silk. He was feeling restless. And then when he knew he could no longer hate her he started loving her, with the same passion.
