Yes that's the reason why Salman got in a war with John. It's all because of the concert salman did with john and some actresses,

For the concert did these celebrities get money. Salman was the biggest celebrity, he told John to give the money he got from the show to a charity. During that time was John a new comer and he wasn't financially strong. John hence didn't agree with salman and said he won't because he himself needs the money. This didn't go well with salman. If people goes against his opinions then they become his rival.

Same thing happened between salman and shahid. They did a show and during rehearsals for that show did shahid tell salman that he did some steps wrong and he suggested how he could do it. Salman got pissed and fought with shahid because since he thought since he is bigger star then shahid has no right to question him. Salman really dislikes shahid.

Shahid Kapoor was first choice for Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani opposite Katrina Kaif. But all of a sudden did shahid leave the movie and according to close source did salman tell santoshi to throw shahid out. When shahid was out then they went for ranbir who had that time was a new comer.

Katrina has never worked with shahid, even though they have got offers. She never talks about him etc. because he is someone who salman can't stand, after he and bebo did break up things got uglier and salman disliked shahid more.

salman has a huge ego problem, he fight with people for really small things, it's ridiculous.
