so what is shown in bolly films a lot about India's corrupt system is true.. I always thought they did movies about corrupt cops just for drama.

I would say India is a lot more corrupt than depicted in Bollywood but thats me. lol

EDIT: I think there are lot of that issues even the Bollywood frowns upon, political pressures and what not.

But don't take my word on it, i am very pessimistic abt the way the whole of India runs.

Sigh. Rape is done because of the RAPIST'S fault. It's SOLELY his fault. Girl's clothes, her late nights, films, cell phones, chow mein, etc have nothing at all to do with it. We really need to get over this notion of "don't get raped" and start teaching "do not rape."

Sure films/TV shows can influence with things like smoking ...and yes the stalkery love stories, the eve-teasing love stories do influence, but really...it's not the reason for rape and never has been.

Its not like some sick mind will rape after watching a Bhatt film, but put on a Sooraj Barjatiya one instead and he'll start singing "hum saath saath hai."

as for films n item songs...ppl doing it and ppl watching it arent being forced to do so, so i think its perfectly fine...the lyrics are raunchy but atleast they show consent on both sides there...the girl and the boy are both ehm...turned on i guess...

some movies n tv shows seem to promote stalking the girl and physical handling of the girl in the name of "hotness" and "true lub"...that, is disgusting and that does give some kind of encouragement to such bas***ds...

@bold. That's it, right there. I remember there was another thread for some short film, which was a compilation of various problematic scenes. I think there are ones that are problematic, which is when the male stalks the woman, doesn't let up, or slaps her for some assinine reason. However item numbers that show a woman enjoying herself/partying (Khallas) or even dance girls dancing for men--if you notice many of these songs DO NOT show men forcing themselves, nor do these songs show these men getting much from the dance girls either.

These songs are not showing that men have some right to sexual relations with these item girls.
