Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon- Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? is an Indian soap opera which premired on June 6, 2011 on the TV channel Star Plus. The show consistently maintained a position as one of the top ten daily dramas on Indian general enterteinment channels throughout its first year on air and developed a large international fan base. Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani's chemistry on the show is what made Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon popular! Sanaya and Barun have won the Best Jodi award at several award functions including the People's Choice Awards India, going on to prove that actors can be bigger than their shows. Due to the departure of lead actor Barun Sobti from the project, the series was ended prematurely on November 30, 2012.
