"It was one of those times you feel a sense of loss, even though you didn't have something in the first place. I guess that's what disappointment is - a sense of loss for something you never had."
- Deb Caletti, The Nature of Jade

It was what Zoya felt right then, sitting alone and dwelling in her thoughts - disappointment. She was actually feeling bad about her behavior. She knew it was her fault that Zille-Illahi's CD got baked with her cake, and she had tried to show him, that she wasn't always making mistakes; by installing the security system. She wanted him to know she wasn't always breaking, smashing or destroying things.
And her plan had backfired, as usual.
She wasn't angry at herself obviously. Zoya isn't that kind of girl. She wouldn't sit and cry and blame herself for something that gets messed up. She prefers to impugn the other party.
'Unke liye toh koi jaan bhi dede, tab bhi kahenge; thik se nahi di.
Dobaara se deke dikhao.'
🤣
Nevertheless, I think this marks a significant change in her.
At least she was bothered about it. She was actually angry that her plan to redeem herself didn't work out. She was really upset that she ended breaking his phone, again.
Haw! Now that's something different. This is the Zoya who barges into Mr. Six Pack's room to protect him from robbers; the one who wants to fix his problems with his 'gori' girlfriend, and I must say, I'm liking this 'new girl' a lot.
