Cricketer Vinod Kambli is hopping mad at recent reports that he's doing a television show called 'Big Boss'. There were reports that Kambli, Rakhi Sawant, Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kissen and TV actor Karan Wahi, among some other celebrities, had confirmed to be on the
show, which is on on the lines of the popular international show Big Brother. As per the format, the celeb participants have to be ready to give up their freedom to be locked up in a house under constant surveillance.
"I don't want to be locked up in a house," says an apprehensive Kambli. "Fact is, I'm not doing the show. That's simply because I'm focussing on cricket. I've worked hard for the upcoming Ranji tournament and there's no way I would do a TV show that consumes a lot of time. I don't want to be distracted by anything else," he says. But hasn't he appeared in TV programmes? "Yes, I did a serial a long time ago. In recent times, I made a few appearnces, but those were just one-off appearances, not a continuous programme. I've been away from
the game for more than a year now and I'm raring to get back," says Kambli.
So, how did this rumour start? "I was approached by people making the show, but I made it very clear to them that I wouldn't be doing the show. I don't know why they went ahead and used my name without my consent. It was unprofessional on their part to use my name for publicity."
