1. Madhu was unaware of Dips and RK conversation. So she was not unaware of what RK and Rishabh meant to RK/Rishabh. As far as she knew, RK and Rishabh are the same person.

2. RK is thinking along the line of Madhu might be more interested in his money and fame. But Madhu is again unaware of it. Why? Simply because from her point of view, since she never got any benefit from RK's money, fame or power and only got hurt by it, but still loves RK; that question should not arise at all.

Like, if someone talks about someone who cheats constantly, I won't react to it since I never cheated. The only person who will realize the implication of it, is someone who actually cheated. Deepali would have understood what RK was implying because she did love RK for his fame, power and money. Madhu doesn't.

3. Madhu wasn't even aware about RK's sudden confession. It came out of the blue for her. But when he confessed, she wanted to confess her love too. At that time, talking about her feelings were more important than hypothetical filmy questions.

RK asked: Madhu, would you come with me if I leave everything?
Madhu: Yes, because you are my world.

Direct question, direct answer.

RK asks again: Do you understand the implication of it?
Madhu: Yes.

Direct question, direct answer.

RK clarifies further: So let's go then and leave everything and everybody behind. Just Madhu and Rishabh. We will leave RK here.
Madhu hesitates.

Vague question, need time to understand the implication. She could have made false promises like a lot of woman do to pacify their boyfriends/husbands thinking let's lie now, I will manipulate to change his mind later to go back on my words. But not Madhu.

She hesitates before making false promises because she never wants to lie to RK like everyone has. Decision to leave family behind is a big decision and needs serious thoughts. In her case, RK did try to separate her from her family before. So she needs time to think whether he is again asking her for the same thing.

Why?

Who is Rishabh? The sensitive boy who still hurts for his parents.

Immediately her mind goes to RK's mom, followed by the curse she heard from her elder sister. She hesitates because what if she separates Rishabh from his mom and Trishna's curse of them never being happy together comes true?

Superstitious? May be. In a conventional marriage, may be it won't have mattered. But in their unconventional marriage? Who knows?

She has to pause and think about it. But RK already has made up his mind and after that one pause RK never lets her say anything nor lets her ask any question about why this craziness over a name? What is the implication of it which wasn't there before today?

So whether Madhu made the right decision or not is not the point. Whether anyone in that circumstances, knowing and going through what she has would have made any right decision is the actual question.
