Usman they came on GMP to address the issue about foreign content and the false games channels/pemra plays.
They disussed about UPA and censorship issues.
Spoke a lot about the kind of crapp that pemra does and how India's progessed and protected it's entertainment industry so much whereas Pakistan's destroying itt.
Also, how there's spanish and mexican dramas coming in too..
And it's unfaie since it's dubbed into urdu and played on prome time where else no other country does that.
They were saying that if they wanna do competition Turkey should also play Pakistani drama's at their prime time.

Honestly, other countries don't do such things except for countries like Canada and U.S who can afford to do so because frankly we know other content will not eat into their business.


Simple thing is, Pakistani channels should not be broadcasting these shows. Best thing to do is, if there are Turkish or Spanish channels in Pakistan then these shows should be broadcast only on those channels. People can then tune into them using subtitles and that is it. Everyone is happy.

Umz Saba Hameed suggested the same thing.
She said they should open up their own channels, pay tax like us, and do their programs in sub-titles.
She said banning channels like Star Plus or Zee has done em more harm than good and those channels should be opened but made to pay tax.
Also, she said the film industry also died because they let it and didn't do anything.. It was a bad idea to ban Indian films in 1960 since restricting ppl from things only makes em wamna see it more.

Shahood Alvi said if you tell kids not to watch these shows because there's bad stuff in em yet you do watch it yourself that's just gonna make em watch it and question abt it more.
