I've been involved with theatre right since my school days and have been a part of English theatre in Delhi. Theatre consumes a lot of time and with my busy television schedule I can't commit to it, the way one needs to. After shifting to Mumbai, I did manage to act in a couple of plays like Class of '84, along with the TV projects. But it's with the launch of Zee television that I entered television world.
Which were your first television serials?
I started my TV career by anchoring a game show called Tol Mol Ke Bol and then did a serial called Banegi Apni Baat.
Tell us about your current television projects.
Currently, I am working in serials like Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki as Sanjay Doshi, K Street Pali Hill as Aditya Khandelwal on Star Plus and Ek Ladki Anjaani Si on Sony TV.
From theatre to television, so do we see you on big screen soon?
I am an actor and I think the medium should not matter much. I did get offers for films but the roles were not so exciting and appealing. However, if I get any good offers, I would definitely like to work in films too. I always, give importance to the role that I'm offered, than the medium or production house. Be it theatre, television or films I enjoy it all equally.
Your most memorable role on television, so far.
I've portrayed a variety of roles on the small screen. Each role has its own special strengths and weakness. I've thoroughly enjoyed doing each of these roles. Each of these characters has been special to me. It becomes difficult to judge one role as the best from amongst so many.
