Hello, So I have watched QH from the very first episode because the concept really intrigued me and so far it has not disappointed. I am loving the fact the main female lead (Zoya) is a strong-willed, independent, mischievous and modern character. I don't mean just the way she dresses but her outlook. It makes her character so much more real and I can identify with her (not completely but still much more than the typical "perfect bahu" portrayals on other serials).

Asad though a little conservative for my taste is quite a realistic character. In a society like India there are good men who have a slightly out-dated sense of thinking but that doesn't make them bad just someone who needs to get moving with the times. And Asad has had a hard childhood and who's to say that Dilshaad (his amazing mother) didn't face taunts and other such humiliations when he was a child. This may have coloured his view of the world and caused him to be protective in a more extreme way which is absolutely understandable. Plus despite his judgmental view of girls in jeans he hasn't stopped Zoya from wearing what she wants. Whatever his view he grudgingly respects her view to dress as she pleases.

I absolutely love Asad-Zoya interactions. They are fun and the actors have amazing chemistry!

Dilshaad and Najma are also amazing characters. They are real, warm, funny and elegant. This is the first time I have actually enjoyed the main male leads family!

Coming to Ayaan- So far I don't feel there is any depth to his character. I honestly wish he would grow up a little and take responsibility for his own actions. He's not a child that needs to be excused. He needs to stand up for himself and learn to fight for what he believes is right. Hopefully he gets there. :)

I am not going to talk about the rest of the members of that family. For except the three sisters and Shireen pretty much everyone in that house is despicable. I just cannot have sympathy for a man who is playing two women for the fool. Yes, Shireen was wrong but she strikes me as an easily manipulated woman and surely the onus to respect his vows is on Rashid and not on Shireen.

Anyway sorry for the long post. I really enjoy this show and I just thought I should post on this forum to discuss different views and have some fun. Thanks :)

the first thing about QH strikes me is the female character zoya .. she is a modern day girl from religious family... I also kind of relate to her .. and all the cousins and siblings bonding felt so familiar to me (reminds me my own big joint family)..

so far the story pace is good.. and Asad is not a dark person .. he just is a righteous man with some of his own likings .. and rishab needs to be directed very well.. he needs to work in his acting skill more .. but i love the bonding between the half brothers .. its kind of new to show ..

Thanks a ton. I agree the show is very balanced. I love the fact that they are developing all characters even the supporting ones. It makes me feel as a viewer connected to what is happening on screen. I feel like I know these characters because they have been developed well. Especially Asad, Zoya, Dilshaad and Najma. Those four already feel like a family, don't you think?

I agree...I don't look at as Asad as dark...he's just a good person who has experienced things no child should have to and that has jaded his view on the world which is what makes Zoya such a unique and strong match for him (imo). She is someone who has never experienced (or remembers) the love of her mother and father (because she lost them so young) and yet she tries to live life to the fullest and enjoy it. In some ways she has had a tougher childhood than Asad and maybe he will learn to enjoy himself and life around him more as he begins to understand that while his life hasn't been perfect there are people who have experienced worse.
