If you call 5 times or 100 times with the same request, it still doesn't change the fact that you are a single user.
A single viewer calling 5 times daily; 7 days a week, 30 days a month - making it approximately 1050 calls a month. For a business, these 1000 calls still means that it is made by a single viewer. It's not a realistic view of what the general viewership wants. 1000 calls by 1000 viewers is more realistic.
Obviously, as a business, Star Plus have learnt lessons from what happened with their show IPKKND and have implemented new measures, both to protect their call centre staff (not all callers are polite and therefore it can affect their staff morale). They have given their staff better and effective ways of dealing with single callers multiple times.
As a business, it is very important they take these steps and the intention is to improve customer satisfaction.
PS. I don't work in Star Plus.
