Weekend is here and time to recap the last week's episodes...why? coz we are not going to get another episode till monday...
what a weekπππ...an emotionally draining week to say the least and one of the most tense and disturbing weeks in SNS history..so here are the highlights for me in no particular order:
1. Ahem kidnapped!!!: well yes..that was pretty much what the week was all about and every other event was an action or reaction to his disappearance...we all anticipated and wanted a happy anniversary celebration and this is what we gotππ...well kya kare..trps matter more than gohem+raji wedding anniversary!π...we saw Ahem winning a major deal last week and this week we saw him planning for a Bhuj trip for this deal...it all ended in a nightmare when he failed to return!... to add to the grief of the Modis and us (us being more affectedπ) he disappeared on his wedding anniversary! He left reminding Gopi of how he was in the past (though we swooned at his angry avatar) and towards the end we saw him all tied up and getting bashed by some mean looking gundas demanding his signature on God knows whatπ‘. What I loved about him this week: he couldnt contain his happiness as he told Aman that he wanted to spend time with his wife on his anniversaryπ³...has he ever voiced his desire before to anyone other than Gopi? i doubt...it was so endearing
2. Gopi is devastated: The week began with Gopi anticipating her wedding anniversary celebrations and lovingly preparing a collage for him and ended in a tragedy with her mistake causing Ahem to go to Bhuj and not return..poor thing is wallowing in guilt Koki's rant left her completely devastated but determined to get her Ahemji back...our superwoman is now scanning the streets of Bhuj with his photo in hand and has promised her maaji that she will get her son back...it was dangerous for her to take off alone in her state but still i applaud her for taking the initiative which the other Modis failed to take atleast till now π. Dev gave her best this week. She has beautiful eyes and she used them to good effect..her big round wounded eyes are sure to haunt me atleast till Gopi is reunited with her Ahemji
3. Koki broke down: The scene that made me cry the most this week πππ...two scenes really, when she was forced to accept that her son might be in danger no thanks to Urmi's horrific tales and she lost her cool and blamed Gopi for Ahem's disappearance...and her scene with Hetal when she broke down in her arms and then realized how unfair she was to blame Gopi...Rupal Patel took my heart and my breath away with her performance!!πππ
3. Urshi give a new meaning to callousness: Urmi was at her cruelest I have ever seen in recent times with her total disregard to the Modis plight at their son's disappearance. Leave alone the fact that same time last year she was begging Ahem with folded hands to save Rashi from the kidnappers, she couldnt even do the smallest favour of simply keeping her trap shut and ended up causing extreme anguish to both Koki and Gopi leading to Koki blaming Gopi in her distress and Gopi taking off to search for Ahem. To rub salt on raw wounds, she actually was enjoying their distressπ‘π‘π€’.
Rashi disappoints me more than Urmi as she has been at the receiving end of the Modis love and affection and yet their grief fails to move her...what is she made of? towards the end I presume her rant to Urmila gave hope to many that she finally is learning to put herself in others' shoes and understand their pain but I am still not convinced...why does it always take a personal setback (in this case Jigar yelling at her) for her to realize her wrongdoings? makes me doubt her intent when she finally does the right thing..I wont be surprised when she goes back to her selfish self when this ordeal is overπ€’..she does the right thing only when it suits her purpose to do so π‘π‘π€’π€’
A distraught brother: I have said time and again that I find Jigar's character the most frustrating but with Ahem out of the picture for now, I am keeping my fingers, toes and everything else (to the extent possible) crossed hoping that I change my mind by the end of this track. He has kind of begun well with atleast being the most active amongst the Modis in actually looking for Ahem. I cheered for him (a very rare thing for me to do) when he finally told Rashi on her face that she was selfish and disgusting for thanking God that Ahem is in danger and not him ...he even looks irritated at Aman's constant interference, though it would have been better if he would have voiced his displeasure and taken control..his breaking down at the temple did bring tears to my eyes too. Vishal has been fantastic in this track so far and I hope that in their quest to make Gopi the superwoman the CVs dont push him in the sidelines again...he really deserves to be the hero just this once! I want to see some Jihem bonding and Jihem in action breaking Aman's bones!
Hetal finally said more than Javadena!!: Hetal's scene with Koki will stay with me till long even after this track is over..Swati rocked this scene and it was so awesome to see her being strong when Koki went weak in her grief. She calmly consoled Koki but made it a point to make Koki realize her mistake and advise her to rectify it...she has done her best to be strong for Goki and I loved her for that!ππ
