Post shaadi it's time for masti in Shanno...

After the gala wedding, it's once again merry time on Shanno ki Shadi. Actor Karan Mehra, from Saath Rahega Always and Sati fame will soon make an entry on this Star Plus show.

"I play a happy go lucky soul who enthralls the family with his masti-filled antics. Though my character's name is Kanwaljeet, keeping with the Punjabi tradition, I am given a pet name, Kunnu. I am shown clad in typical Punjabi attire, Pathani suits, armaments and other trendy things," says Karan.

Karan's entrance comes at a time when the funny man of the show named Kake (played by Harsh Bashisht) nephew of Shaadi lal (Shanno's Father) seems to have gone missing. In addition to this since Shanno's marriage, Bebe (Shanno's dadi) had lost her voice, which she regains thanks to Karan. How she gets back to normal is what the actor is not willing to let out. He adds, "After this event, the entire family takes a huge liking for Kunnu, they consider him a god send gift for their family and treat him with love and care."

On asking why he opted for Shanno…, he explains, "This show is unlike the regressive saas-bahu clan. You can relate with the events that takes place in the show also I didn't want to play stereo-typical roles. Besides, it gave me a chance to work with one of the greatest directors of the comic genre, Rajiv Mehra."

The actor will enter the track this Sunday at 10 pm. So let's watch out, what antics this punjabi munda has up his sleeve!
