no its was not rape it was a deal between sugvi . sugni agreed to it and it is wrong to say sugni sacrificed for aditya ... i will say she is such a fool who thinks that only she had brain and others are idiot so she took this idiot and dirty step 👎🏼. she is not a fighter but a loser she could have runaway or waited for aditya or thought of any other option . for her love, marriage and consumation is just a joke !!

TVS did not rape Sug, she did it on her own will. Moreover, a Rape is a crime of forcing another person to submit to sex acts.
If they show TVS trying to make love to her and she says NO and pushes him away, than in my mind it is it rape!!!
We all saw Sug got dress and came to him.

I hate to say no, but he did kind manipulate her. She did come from a low cast which was not looked as respectable. He was a thakuar and a powerful man just like her father Jwala singh. I felt that was a very degrating act by cvs where they protrayed the woman as stupid helpless, yes in many places in India woman are still considered weak and not equal to men. In this kind of situation brains don't work and wrong decisions are made. I feel sorry for Shugni who is wronged by the man she once loved. He definately made a mockery of love, if you say you love someone as much as vikram has said, then there should be no places for deals. I know he is hurt still no excuse. This is my own opinion I fight for womans right in canada because i came from abusive relationship. Sugani will be carrying the burden and guilt of bretraying her husband and vikram thaukar didn't make it easy for her and her husband.

Re Bold 1 and 2 In my POV: Finally Vikram has caught on and is playing the same game Sugni is so adept at. She is cruelly manipulative and stubborn. And in this situation she initiated the manipulative taunting by wanting to initially live in the same town and later by marrying Aditya and living in the same house as TVS. After her sardakhai - Aditya offered her money to move to Delhi/another city with her mother and start a new life. She declined saying she wanted to be with him in the same town. Sugni has not been portrayed as stupid and helpless - she is sly and cunning. She has stood up to the thakurs and the panchayat - if that's not gutsy then I do not know what is! In this particular town women are not weak - they are the ones who wear the pants in the house. They are the breadwinners. It is this inbred thought that made Sugni accept TVS's deal not helplessness or manipulation. She was internally convinced that she could earn the money in one go whereas Aditya would take months/years!

Re: Underlined in my POV: TVS finally spoke in the language of love that Sugni understands and she consented. All previous times with TVS and with Aditya thus far she has held her ground and not consented, why? The money was going to someone else's hands - this time it was going to her own. TVS knows the different shades of love but unfortunately Sugni knows only one. So TVS got Sugni to celebrate love with him in the manner that she understands it!

Re: Bold 3 In my POV: Sugni has never indicated that she feels/thinks it was a bad decision.

All adulterous spouses live with a sense of guilt and the need to conceal the act from their partner. This feeling is universal among those who indulge in infidelity.
