Chapter 13

Swayam's POV:

Tears were flowing from her eyes endlessly, standing there, at the entrance of the room. She was starring in my eyes with full innocence and with such an intensity that it felt like she was seeing right through my soul. I just wanted to reach upto her and take her in a deep embrace but I can do that I need to re-win her trust which will only happen when I disclose the whole truth in front and then the decision will be fully upto her, whether she wants to accept me or not.

Looking at me straight in my eyes she walked towards me with teary eyes. she reached upto me and stood merely inches away from me.

"Sharon... I...I.."

Before I could say another word, she smacked my chest hard. oooww that hurt, this woman does some serious workout.

"Ooowww... what was that for?" I asked rubbing my chest.

Then she started hitting me consecutively along with crying heavily on the last smack I caught hold of her wrist and she just put her arms around my neck and just hugged me tightly and squeezed the life out of me sobbing continuously.

I rubbed my hand soothingly over her back.

"Why din't you tell me Swayam?", she asked.

"Tell you what baby?" I asked genuinely not knowing about what she was talking while stroking her hair trying to calm down her sobs.

"That Rohan is Shivam and Taani's son and not yours and your first wife I guess who died's son, why dint you tell me haan. You thought I would love him any less if he wasn't your child. That child was the first person I touched without freaking flinching Swayam"

My whole body stiffened before I tried to relax and calm myself down. I t was not like I did not want to tell her but I dint want her to treat Rohan any different because of this truth not that I don't trust her but still.. The way Rohan had to go through Taani's hatred all these years I just dint want to risk it all.

I closed my eyes, If I want her to trust me and tell her story on her own then I need to tell her my story so that she knows I trust her too maybe thats how she will open up to me.

"He is not Taani's son" I said not knowing where to start from.

She looked up from my chest and into my eyes trying process what I was telling her.

"I don't understand, he looks so much like Shivam" she asked looking totally lost.

"He looks like Shivam because he is Shivam's son"

"But abhi toh you said..."

"Rohan is Shivam and Kiara's son"

"Who is Kiara?" She asked

rubbing my hand over my face I sighed heavily, I seated myself on bed and patted the empty space next to me for Sharon to sit. She immediately came next to me and sat on the bed maintaining a safe distance between us. I hope I can make her love me again so that there is no distance left between us.

"Kiara was my wife" She flinched a look of hurt crossed her face.

You... your wife?, why would she do that?"

"I'll tell you everything from the start, just listen to me first." she nodded. Closing my eyes I remembered that day when Kiara told me she was in love with some guy.

"That day Kiara came running from college to tell me about a guy she fell in love with. We were best of friend and shared everything. She never told me the name of the guy and I trusted her enough to tell me the name when she was ready.

The next few months we rarely saw each other as I was busy with my meetings and she was apparently trying to get that guy in a relationship with her. One morning suddenly she came to my apartment she was wearing a party dress barely reaching her hips with her hair all messed up, her eye make up was smerged, her eyes puffy, red and swollen due to crying.

I took her to the living room and got her one of my shirts and boxers. After she somewhat calmed down she told me what she had done the other night, she had mixed up the guys drink after which he wasn't in his and they slept together she thought after that the guy would agree to be in a relationship with her but when he woke up that morning he freaked out he was married for christ sake. He just ran off.

After two months we came to know Kiara was pregnant with his child. She informed him, he left his wife to take care of the unborn child. Apparently one day she told him to go back to his wife because no matter what he only loved his wife.

While that guy was on his way he met with an accident and slipped into coma that led some complicatiins in Kiara's pregnancy and she started getting labour pains. The doctors told me they could either save the mother or the child. I had to chose the child but before that I got married to Kiara so that Rohan wouldnt be treated as an orphan.

It was Shivam, I wish she would have told me his name. I could have prevented all of this. Since then Taani blames Rohan for Shivam's accident. Shivam gained his consiousness just a week ago.

So no one else but I am Rohan's father. I was one who carried him in my arms first, Dadda was the first thing he learnt to speak, she was the one who used to sing lullabies for him at night, I was the one who changed his nappies just a 21 year old clueless guy about what to do with a child. Shivam just donated a sperm does not mean he is not my child" I snapped a little harshly, I saw Sharon flinch seeing my anger.

I blew out a breath, " I am sorry, I shouldn't have snapped at you."

"Will you now tell me why do you flinch when anyone tries to touch you or for that matter tries to come close to you.?"

"There's nothing to tell" she said suddenly coming out of the trance why the question I asked.

"There's obviously something your hidding Sharon."

"And don't you dare lie to me."

Sharon's POV:

"What do you want me to tell you huh?, that the night you left me Raj rapped me and Kidnapped me huh, what do you want me to tell you huh that the bas***d was living in a fantasy world where he was a perfect boyfriend and I his perfect girlfriend. He used to rape me 4-5 times a day the more I struggled the more painful it became that when said just struggling... the day I stopped struggling I felt nothing. But it spoilt my soul I felt cheap, used, dirty."

I fell preganant but when he came to know about it he became so frustrated and angry that he repetetively kicked me and pushed me from the staircase I lost my child that day. I also lost a part of me that day.

He gave me latest phones but that could only make calls to him, he gave me laptop which could not access internet, he kept on buying me latest fashion clothes. Sometimes he would not give me food and keep on beating till he was satisfied.

The worst he f**king married me forcefully but thank God he died so that I not married to him anymore" I snapped at him angrily. After that I broke down crying. omg what did I do, I told him everything, things about which I haven't told anyone yet. Stupid stupid girl I mentally cursed myself.

"Shar... " he said while placing a hand on my shoulder before he could finish his sentence I cut him off.

"Don't... don't touch me."

"Sshhh... sshh baby I wont hurt you trust me. Look into my eyes Sharon, do you think I can hurt to in anyway?" Saying he placed his hand on my back and rubbed it soothingly, I don't know what came over me I just hugged him tightly.

"Please don't hurt me Swayam, Please don't" I said crying... Oh my why I crying so much he must think I am such a cry girl, oohh just suck it up Sharon, stop crying like a baby.

"I promise I won't ever let you get hurt again" he said. After a while we broke apart. "See did that hurt?" he asked flashing me his cheesy smile. I just shook my head not trusting my voice around him.

Suddenly the phone rang, and he went to pick up the call.
