The actor got rave reviews for his performance as a RAW agent in the film. With the much-hyped Dabangg 2 set for release around Christmas, Salman, who will reprise the role of the popular character Chulbul Pandey in the movie, is likely to end the year with a bang as well.

Shah Rukh Khan: King Khan ensured his place in the top slot this year with a powerful performance in legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra's last movie Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Diehard SRK fans queued to watch their hero play the charming Samar Anand, a struggling Indian immigrant who falls in love with the daughter of a wealthy businessman and then becomes a hardened soldier who joins the Indian army after heartbreak.

Aamir Khan: Talaash proved once again that an Aamir film is worth waiting for. The suspense-thriller earned Rs.48.99 crore in the opening weekend and the critics loved Aamir's performance as the workaholic cop investigating the murder of a superstar.

Ajay Devgn: Ajay also assured himself a place among the top 10 this year with his much talked about Son Of Sardaar which entered the elite Rs 100 crore club. The actor managed to pull large crowds despite stiff opposition from Shah Rukh Khan's film Jab Tak Hai Jaan which released at the same time. Ajay also had a superhit in the comedy Bol Bachchan which released earlier this year.
