finally got down to watching it.. over dinner.. and wow.. liked the ME actually.. did not expect anything much but the screenplay was RATHER GOOD..
I realized while watching that we get soo caught up in the JV scenes and want for a JV story somewhere the holisticity of it is compromised.. and for ex today.. I am not ashamed to admit I was involved through the whole thing and not really missing out on a JV centric story.. coz the storytelling was taut.. it traversed a lot of domains
if I can break it down... it was a good attempt at social maladies affecting people's lives.. the SYSTEM vs the Individual.. somethings that they touched upon were
- The Reality talent show malady- a trained singer pitted against an amateur.. but the rookie benefits good media coverage on pretext of an inspirational life (cancer, etc) .. and the lines given to Kadambari.. talent is not the key when the audience has the power.. its about tugging at emotions, empathy etc.. how many times have we seen that on reality shows.. where the deserved contestant bows down to the INSPIRATIONAL STORY..
- show me the TRP : TRP ke liye sala kuch bhi karega.. so the show, its judges etc feed more on the personal tiffs battles etc and w/e can sensationalize the modicum.. in layman lingo.. gane mein kya rakha hain.. gaa to har koi lega.. SCOOP Lao
- Media Motion: and the MEANS to further ends.. the media.. used by anyone to tell their VERSION OF THE TRUTH.. through Karan they nicely showed that media is just a rich man's keep.. (cant help the amoral analogy) ... one little spark of TRUTH told in one version and you see a motion in progress - millions of stories feeding off one.. everyone has its own take.. they present what helps the salability.. and finally how it affects the families and near and dear ones of the FACES of this TRUE STORY😆
yes u got me rite.. esp wid the last one I cldnt help see the reality inspiration.. EHM has prided of taking up social causes/ maladies.. and while they got it terribly wrong with the cancer technicalities.. they are doing a cheeky job with these ones.. esp the last one.. being bitten by it in some ways😆
ppl can complain for the WANT OF A SPECIFIC MICROCOSM relationship whether its behna, JV, VM.. but there is no denying as a holistic story.. the show hasnt been as good in a long time.. the writing is rather nice..
now coming to the real context of your post.. yes I did like the bros scene.. like I said I always like their scenes coz there is CONTENT and DEPTH in them.. not OTT poetic lingo in progress unlike behnas.. they expose their real selves.. and stand by each other.. somewhere I saw the FATHER FIGURE in Viren today.. the one Virat talked about during the pregnancy track.. tht he did not miss a fatherly influence coz of viren.. when viren said I had everything in life but missed a father.. THIS was what its about the easy clarity.. the maturity Viren possesses as a guide.. Jeevika lacks as another on that side of the equation although she has the passion and courage for it😆.. I loved the easy clarity Viren presented- you are not a loser.. if you have battled important issues in life with resolve.. keep that in place.. and somewhere I cld connect to Virat.. he has waited too long (his own doing or fate i cant say) to stand in the face of an opportunity where he can be the family's pride in social standing..
Finally the JV scene.. They as usual have the REAL EASY CAMARADERIE.. its not about the hugs, the romantic flavor.. it was the simple easy convo JV ace at.. from oh see we r siblings of singers so its established we can sing too.. so let's get at it .. Viren's reasonings are extended in every sphere😆 I defo loved the baaki ka gana ROOM MEIN🤣 chichora😆
finally I cant let go of how Viren keenly OBSERVES Karan.. its not awe.. its this constant evaluation.. and trying to reason something.. the man has something coming.. or so I hope.. come Jama Habib dont let me down😆
