I was reading an article about how avantika malik and anushka sharma are bffs...makes sense considering matru ki bijlee is up for release...

anyway..it got me thinking about how temporary and to an extent utilitarian BW friendships are...many are symbiotic relationships, others mere passing phases or PR stunts!!

after the siamese twins phase and showering endless compliments and the incorporation of the mutual admiration society they eventually move on to new people!

my question...how permanent are BW friendships?

any particular relationship you admire?

any which seemed quite outta the blue and made you think yeh dono dost hain?!

i've always wondered whether kareena would be such good friends with amrita if she was more successful...

there was a time when kareena-esha-zayed-fardeen were like this group...but I think kareena and esha fell apart!

A bollywood friendship could work, if the two in question make it work. But sadly the industry is such that it is very rare to find forever lasting bollywood friendships. The main reason there is: COMPETITION. Everyone wants to be at the top.

The only true bollywood friendship in the industry is between brother-sister, sister-sister, or brother-brother. That's all. For ex: Kareena & Karisma. They are sisters fist, best friends second, and there's no question of competition. Other than those bonds described there are hardly any forever lasting friendships in the industry with a few exceptions.

alia does resemble kareena(early days) a lot...so your doosra pyaar is like a new age version of your pehla pyaar!!

milford sounds is beautiful..you can prance around with a chiffon sari clad alia and sing ishq vala love..

has it ever been used as an outdoor in any movie? it's really pretty!!

makes sense...but siblings don't always get along...

I think friendships work till one doesn't feel threatened by the other and the second is not too ambitious...

i think riteish sidhwani and farhan akhtar would be the only example of friendship between equals..

I went there last Christmas!!!
NZ has beautiful places for Hindi romantic songs to be shot at.

Milford sounds was planned for I hate luv Storys but they shot it close to Milford sounds.!!!

They shot the song Sadka Kiya in Queenstown (ONE OF THE BEST TOURIST TOWNS IN THE WORLD) and few scenes at Westland National park and lake Matheson

Kaho Na Pyar Hai song Na Tum Jano na hum and Main Prem Ki Deewani hoon's Chali Aayi, O Ajnabi, Ladka Yeh Kehta Hai and most scenes in that film is shot here.

Besides that lord Of the Rings series and coming up film Hobbit is shot there. Hobbit was shot 60km away from my place
