'Allah Miya...'

I had just mentioned to a muslim friend of mine today about this show and some Urdu words used and mentioned our Zoya's takiya kalam, 'Allah Miya what's wrong with you'. She said that muslims are not supposed to use the words 'Allah Miya' as Miya is used for men in general and Allah is above all and so shouldn't be compared like that. She told me its better to say 'Allah Tala'.
Since i am really intrigued with the muslim backdrop, i was wondering if anyone could tell me what is meant by 'Allah Tala' in terms of the difference and is this the case for Islam (the religion) or is it to do with culture?

I used to say ta same but realised that miya also means husband so tat sort If contradict n say Good is ur husband bt actually is ta supreme god

Saying Ya Allah! instead of Allah miya is also ok. The expression Allah miya is usually used in India like posted earlier and most people say it. Both mean invoking the name of God as in saying Oh God! Whats wrong with you? Which is what zoya actually means to say. Allah Miya is casual and miya literally means husband and so saying Allah miya is considered as being disrespectful because Allah is the most supreme and above all and His name should be taken with respect as Allah Ta'lah. Ya Allah is more literal and means Oh God.

Allah Ta'ala means Allah the exhalted.

Frankly speaking, even I do not like saying Miyya, because as you said, it is more of a casual word used for men in general.
