I think it is rather handsome. Very common in Muslim culture because it shows formality It is a body language think. It gives way to the person in front. Like saying - yes, the floor is yours and I am listening.
4 Lions is famous for bad wardrobe, not for everyone - just the female lead. Don't ask why. They have been doing it with another character who shall not be named. We were never able to get through to them about spending some money on her wardrobe either.
