yayyy a chapter. Sorry guys, I just cant handle life properly.
Chapter 10
Lavanya looked through the huge office windows deep in thought. Her entire life was turned upside down in the two weeks she was out of India.
How?! The bigger question why?!
Everything was fine between them until she left, then what happened. She did get a chance to talk to him at his party last week but it was amongst people. She had to get him alone and find out his reasons. He cant just leave her without a proper explanation.
She picked her up phone and dialed Arnav. Of course, it was turned off. It reminded her of her own meetings to attend and she moved on pushing him to the side. For now.

"I am glad you agreed do lunch with me. Its been so long since we have had our sister bonding!" squealed Payal in delight.
Khushi smiled joining her in the excitement. Indeed it had been long. Their hang out time had been drastically cut down when she had taken up the job and then after that engagement to such a big shot guy took the rest of her time, leaving her with nothing for girls time. Nobody knew she spent more time with Arnav's family than with Arnav, except of course Arnav.
As payal looked through the menu, Khushi slipped into her thoughts. He was so confusing, everytime they met, he would leave her so bothered. Was she so easy to get to? Dhruv and bhabhi werent any better.
They had still not budged from their plan. Arnav just liked to play with her...
"Khushiii" Payal called her from her thoughts.
"Ye-yeah"
"Have decided?"
"Yeaaahh the regular"
The waitress smiled at sweetly and asked, "and what would that regular be?"
"Three cheese chicken pasta" Khushi smiled apologetically.
The waitress cleared away the menus and quickly walked away.
"Three cheese? Do you plan on gaining back all that weight you lost?" Payal giggled.
"Oh shush! I am starvinggg" Khushi cried.
"Sooo how is Arnav?" Payal teasingly asked.
"Fine" Khushi snapped.
"Thats it? fine? Khushi! Arent you going to update your sister on your new love life?" Payal pouted.
"Uhhh sister my love life is not as colorful and R rated as yours. You wouldnt find it gushing and I do not want to hear your advice" Khushi sighed.
"Righttt thats not how it looked when Anjali and I caught you guys...outside...after the engagement..." Payal trailed her sentence.
Khushi blushed as the memory flooded into her brain. Quickly she dismissed it and regained her thoughts.
"Payal unlike you I dont like to share or show my private life" Khushi smiled too sweetly.
"Whatever I dont want to know. Its probably lame anyways" she rolled her eyes.
"Yeppp maybe" Khushi replied and chuckled at the irony.
"Weirdo" Payal muttered under her breath.
"Topic change please, I have forty five minutes before I head back to work" said Khushi in a sing song voice.

Sunday for brunch the Raizada family and soon to be a Raizada were seated at the table stuffing their mouths and chatting away.
Dadaji's excitement didnt go un noticed by anyone expect Khushi. But then she didnt know much about the strict and serious dadaji.
A dot of warm feeling spread over Arnav's heart as he watched his grandfather and fiance laugh over something.
The grief stored in his system for two years showed a tiny hint of melting.
He gave himself a few minutes of peace and stared at her, noting her every move and expression. Something or someone distracted Arnav from his observation and he turned to see what it or who it was.
Anjali. Of course. He rolled his eyes.
He diverted his gaze away from both women...both annoying women and started a conversation with his bhaiya.
After the table was cleared, dadaji excitedly suggested Khushi and Arnav to go hang out for a while.
Politely they both left rest of the family and made their way upstairs to his room.
She climbed up the stairs behind him, trying her best not to look at his sexy butt...sexy? No!
Her heart skipped a beat as she entered her soon to be room, their room. A king size bed lay in the centre covered by a plain grey breadspread, night tables on either side. The furniture was all black wood, sleek and simple. A t.v was set across the bed, video games and controllers sprawled on the floor. A huge french window covered like a wall behind the tv, which looked out to the lawn below. It was all so boyish, on the other side of the room was kept a shelf filled with colognes, some magazines and books.
Where will she fit in?
It was spacious enough, to bring in a dresser for her, she would have change certain things...
"Dont even think about it" Arnavs eyebrows shot up at her distant, thoughtful face.
"Wwhaaat?" Khushi snapped back to present.
"I was thinking, we, together can think about the necessary changes around the room..." he drawled stepping closer towards her.
"T-thats not what I was thinking" Khushi responded, her heart picking up its beat, and palms turning moist.
"Mhmm" he made a deep sound.
She could feel the heat eminating from his tall, hard form. Before it could seep into her, she stepped away to the side.
"Nice room...boyish...rich boyish" she smiled warmly.
"I know its plain. I like it that way" he stood with his hands in his pocket and shoulders scrunched.
Khushi rubbed her hands together, the room silent and her head a havoc of awkwadness, nervousness, shyness, and maybe a bit breathless.
Arnav stared at her look around the room deep in her thoughts. He wanted to do something, talk about anything but couldnt.
He went and plopped on the bed, busying himself on the laptop, while Khushi made herself as comfortable as she could on the sofa in the corner, after grabbing a random car magazine.
