It was Rose day and everyone at the university was engaged in exchanging flowers. There were no classes today so Khushi decided not to go to college to stay away from these stupid things. Lavanya on the other hand was trying to convince her to come along with her

"Please Khushi just for me, look it's my first ever rose day with Mayank and I want to be with him"

"So who is stopping you, you can go, I don't wish to! And by the way I don't have anyone for whom I have to be there" Khushi replied setting her books on the table

"Maybe you'll find your someone special today, please come na" Lavanya said pulling Khushi with her

"Lavanya, seriously I don't want ... To ...Lava ..." But she wasn't listening her

"I am deaf" She sighed as Lavanya said

"Lavanya where are we going?" Khushi asked as Lavanya dragged her outside the university

"Sshhh just come with me" Lavanya stopped a cab and told the driver some address. Khushi sat quietly as she thought it waste of time to ask Lavanya

The cab stopped in front of a building at a place which looks like residential colony. Khushi had never come here before so it was totally new to her.

"Lavanya where are we?" Khushi clutched her hand tightly feeling scared

"We are going to Mayank's apartment" Lavanya replied

"What?" She shrieked, "I am not coming with you" She protested and stepped to go away when Lavanya stopped her

"Acha and how will you go? You don't know anything about the city, not even the way back to university and most important you don't have your wallet with you" Khushi fumed in anger as soon Lavanya told her, now she have no option but to follow her

Lavanya knocked the door while Khushi was filddling with her duppata nervously. She knew that Arnav lived with Mayank and Rohit and she don't want to talk to him after knowing that he tricked her with him and Lavanya to get her friendship.

"God please ... Please He should not be at home" She mumbled closing her eyes and at the moment the door was opened, she opened her eyes and it seemed she was late in praying. This was Arnav standing at the door with a broad smile

"Ohh Hi ... I am not finding any proper words to welcome you ... Woh kya kehte hain;

Woh aaien hamare ghar yeh khuda ki qudrat hai
Kabhi hum unn ko kabhi apne ghar ko daikhte hain"

"Stop it Arnav" Lavanya just hit his shoulder while Khushi's cheeks turned red as she knew at whom he is pointing. In town also she hardly visit Haveli unless she'd been called there

"No Lavanya seriously it's being an honor to have you here" Though he was addressing Lavanya but his eyes were on Khushi and she was aware of it although she was looking down but still she can feel his gaze on her

"Ok so now you will send us back from the door or call us inside" Lavanya said and Arnav gave them the way stepping aside

"Chee" Khushi stopped just stepping inside the apartment making Arnav and Lavanya keep standing where they were

"What ... What happened Khushi?" Lavanya asked while Arnav too glared her curiously

"Is ... this ... the ... place ... You guys ...live..." Khushi managed to speak scanning through the living room where cushions were falling off from sofas, there were empty cans and wrappers lying on the floor. The walls were dusty and so does all the other things of the room

"Yeah ... What's the problem in it" Arnav said confusingly while Khushi made a nauseating face, without replying anything she stepped forward while Lavanya and Arnav just followed behind her

"Hey Lavanya" Mayank came to them and hugged Lavanya while Khushi just looked away and Arnav smiled at her

"What a pleasant surprise, I am so happy to see you guys here" Mayank said breaking the hug while Khushi tried to smile

Four of them settled on the sofas and started chatting. Well just Mayank and Lavanya were speaking, both of them were quiet when suddenly Arnav called her

"Khushi" She looked at him wondering what he wanted to say. Instead of speaking Arnav gestured her to come with him, she straight away denied him but when he again asked her gesturing towards Mayank and Lavanya she get it, he wants to give them some space. They were about to leave when Rohit came out from the bedroom rubbing his eyes, yawning

"Good Morning guys" He stretched his arms while Khushi peeped at her watch. At 1:00 pm he is wishing them Good Morning

"Good Noon Rohit" Khushi spoke in a taunting tone causing three of them laugh at this while Rohit scratched his head in embarrassment

"I think we should order something for Lunch" Arnav said

"No ... Today we have two ladies with us so they can prepare something, it's been long since I tasted home made food" Mayank said making a low face

"But I don't know cooking" Lavanya said now Mayank was looking at Khushi expectantly

"Ok I'll make lunch for all of us, umm where is the kitchen?" She agreed as she don't want to make Mayank feel bad and also in this way both Mayank and Lavanya will get sometime together

"I'll show you the kitchen" Arnav said

"Khushi tell me what we need, I'll get it from the market" Rohit said and Khushi told him the things which were required

"WHAT IS THIS!" Khushi could not believe her eyes

"Kitchen ... I guess" Arnav replied again not getting why she was just screaming like she has seen something horrible

"Is ... this ... Kitchen" Khushi said looking at the dirty slab, the stove and the worst sight was the sink full of unwashed utensils

"I can't believe how you guys manage to live in such a dirty place" Khushi said tying her duppata to her waist

"So what else can you expect from us, we can't do this cleaning stuff and the maid we hired didn't show up for the past three days, otherwise our house isn't that a dirty place to live" Arnav followed her to the sink where she was now washing the utensils

"But you can do it yourself" Arnav chose to keep quiet, now he was cleaning the slab as he really felt bad that she didn't like the place but still she was cooking for them

"Khushi, can you teach me how to make kheer, actually I love kheer but I can't make it at my own" Arnav shifted the topic

"Ok" was the reply from her

Cleaning the slab, he came and stood behind her, not scaring her he brought his hands and placed it at sink on either sides of her, she stopped washing the dish as soon she realized he has cornered her. She closed her eyes and gulp in fear

"God please save me, I don't know what he is intending to do but please save me" Khushi prayed unaware of the fact that she just did it aloud.

'She is innocent' He thought and couldn't help the smile

"Khushi" he whispered in her ear still not touching her and she clutched on the edge of the sink tightly

Dead bodies of her parents,

Her younger brother and sister lying lifeless,

Guards beating her,

"Acha hua chotte sahib aap iss ko le aaye (Thank God young master you brought her here)"

"AMMA" Her eyes shot open as she screamed. She tried to get up but the wounds on her back didn't let her. She helplessly laid back when an arm gently helped her to sit
