So usually, this not my cup of tea, analyzing the episode with all the in-depth and sincerity it FAILED to portray, usually munni di's reviews are enough.
But then, this involves Viraat, so how can I NOT say something?
Yesterday's dialogues blew me away completely, when Viraat said,
'Agar koi deewar khadi hogi, toh main usey tod dunga. Faltu ki baatein mat karo ok.'
(If ever there was a wall between us, I'll break it down.)
He needed her to survive. Her hold, her touch, her love, her belief in him was what he needed to be happy. Winning the singing competition alone wouldn't bring him happiness. Instead, if his wife had participated and won, to see that smile on her face, the twinkle in her eyes, the spring in her steps would have meant happiness for Viraat.
It shows the faith of Viraat in their relationship. He knows that fights, however small or big are an inevitable part of their relationship. But he believes, that nothing and nobody in the world would ever have the strength to pull them apart. No wall between them was too big to be broken down. If ever a wall rose, he would break it down into tiny bits and pieces before it threatened to ruin their relationship. The society hadn't been able to come between them before; even death had to bow down in front of their love. So the stupid reason that a silly competition would create a barrier between them made no sense to Viraat. None at all.
To even imagine a wall that would tear them down is UTTER NONSENSE(faltu ki baatein).
I would like to quote the lyrics of one of my all time favourite songs by Trivium, because it's so perfect for VirMan..
All the pain in this world won't stop us now
For we have each other.
All the hate in this world can't tear us apart
This love is forever.
In arms we'll turn away
From their ways
We'll live like no other
Together we're hope
Absolute
The only thing that matters
PS: I've been listening to this song's piano cover all night, so if you guys want to listen to it too, here goes
