Will the Tonks and Tejwanis friendship suffer as they face each other in Nach Baliye 2?
Competition is a natural part of life. We find ourselves fighting for our place in society and more importantly in the work force. But, when it comes to competition between friends and loved ones, where can we draw the line between our personal lives and our professional endeavors?
All tuned in to the lives of television actors will have heard of many such good friendships. 'Nach Baliye 2' (Star One) is going to see close pals– Gauri and Hiten Tejwani and Gauri and Yash Tonk - take centre stage as they dance their way to win audiences hearts. Going through long dance rehearsals and costume fittings, they speak of why this show will not change their relationship.
Says Yash, "We were part of Amitabh Bachchan's ABCL and have been good friends for over seven years now. We have both decided to give our hundred percent and leave the rest to the audiences to choose the best dancing pair. Our friendship will always be there but we are also doing a job and are fully aware that only one couple will win."
His wife Gauri is the one who convinced him to drop a film offer and take up this show. The Tonks are known as the dancing couple who are always the last to leave the floor "I was on a break last year and as we both love music and dancing, participating in this show helps us indulge our passion and spend time with friends," says an excited Gauri.
The Tonk's three year old daughter Pari adores Gauri and Hiten. "I got to know Gauri when I was pregnant with Pari and for us, our friendship comes first. My daughter is already saying that she will vote for Hiten chachu and Gauri kaki. We have agreed to do the show only to have a good fun time with friends," says Gauri.
Hiten also voices a similar opinion, saying, "I do not feel any competition from Yash and am just looking forward to having loads of fun on the sets."
Gauri is ecstatic and firmly says, "There is no envy or jealousy involved. We share an unconditional friendship. Yash and Gauri are my rock and are always there when I need them. We are just waiting to rock the floor."
