Chakkar ali evdhi marathi vachun, mhanun sagle nahi vachta ale

Arere, Maharashtrian aaNi Marathi vaachun chakkar yete. Mee tar doosarya praantaatlaa aahe. Marathi bhaasik aavashya aahe. Taree paN tumchyaa samaadhaanaa saaThi English madhoon lihit aahe.

I was talking about singing not movies. I agree with you that recent Marathi movies are of very high class and have originality in them. Shwaas, Devrai, Manthan, Uttarayan and many more are very superion movies.
My argument is about the singers. They are not coming out the old song mold. People are still singing "Toch chandramaa nabhaat". The singers sing Bhaavgitas and old songs with delicated voices. You know very well that recent trend is for songs that fill the room with masculine voices (I am refering only to male singers).
Marathi music is lagging behind the other languages in the quality of sound. I would like to see the repeatition of old golden days when all the other languages were emulating Marathi songs. Aping the old singers is not going to make this show interesting.

The new singers you mentioned all came from Hindia industry. Amey Date, Nihira Joshi, Sadhana Sargam are new breed. All I am saying is that there should be new music in Marathi. Old songs are very melodious but that is stunting the growth of new one. I hope you do not feel dizzy now.
