it was always about what rk saw in Madhu, he knew he had to have her in his life because of her determination for justice, the contract the 40 lakh was just a mean to get madhu to marry him, what he did not know what ever he had done to her she would save his life on many occassions so was his trust. He adores her he cares about her he does not really give a damn about the money.

yes we all are agree its true this marriage is not for money what rk done with malik is the reason to give madhu money and rk knows that she will not marry her without solid reason, second if money matter for rk why he arranged machines for malik from abroad that time rk madhu rift was going on but after marriage he done every thing to save malik without informing madhu and her wish what its means? rk realized that they have some connection see how he was sure that madhu did not like mukund and he asked question about it second he told madhu that lines of our hand match its destiny. i think rk done this agreement only for this that without this she will not take help and money from him.
