Chapter 10

Swayam's POV

I felt someone sitting on my back which made my eyes flew open in a second. What I saw made me grin from ear to ear with tears of happiness flowing from my eyes. Rohan was sitting on my back playing horse and Taani, imagine Taani the person who used to hate him cuddling with him and giggling softly.

The scene which took place in front of my eyes made me so happy finally understood it, finally she accepted Rohan, finally she accepted the fact that it was not Rohan's fault that Shivam is in coma for the past 4 years. I know it was too much for Taani to take in at that time time I also understood that her happily ever after shattered in front of her eyes but it was something that had no control over it,s happening…

Yes Shivam had cheated on her but I also knew that he was totally drunk that night he din't even realize thathe had slept with Kiara not Taani. Kiara had liked him since a long time but she never knew he was a happily married person. She just wanted a chance with him so she had offered him drinks after drinks at the club which made him lose his control. After that two months she came to know she was pregnant with his baby she thought now the baby will make him come to her. He had no option he left Taani and went to Kiara. I have till date never told Taani the whole truth.

But on the day of her delivery she realized that Shivam was never truly hers so she let him go and due the stress she had some complications I had to chose for the baby to live that was Kiara's last wish. So that I can legally become Rohan's guardian and none can take him away from me we got married the day she died. When Shivam was going back to Taani his car met with an accident and he is in coma since that day. And till date Taani blames Rohan for everything.

Rohan's soft laughter brought me back from my thoughts. He was looking at Taani and enjoying cuddling with her.

"Taani …."

"Bhai… Shivam he is out of coma", she chirped happily

"How…?" I asked shocked, no words coming out of my mouth.

"The day you left for India, I received a call from the hospital saying that Shivam had regained his consciousness, I rushed there to see him asking for me. He told me everything bhai. The whole truth.." she said tears flowing endlessly from her eyes.

"Bhai, now I know there is no reason for me to blame this angel" she said ruffling Rohan's hair.

I wiped her tears with the back of my hand. She also informed me that Shivam will be here during my reception today. Reception. Wedding. Shit it's my wedding today what the hell am I doing still in my bed. I rushed into the bathroom took a quick shower. When I came out, my mom, Taani, Rinni, Simmi, Nil, Bharat, and Amar were waiting for me.

Simmi handed me my Sherwani it was a pearl white sherwani heavily embroided with golden colour, when I came out full dressed they were all looking at me like they were seeing me for the first time in my life.

"hayye mera sona puttar, you are looking so hansome, nazaar na lage kisiki" my mom said dramatically.

"Mom I am your son, ofcourse I am handsome" which earned me a smack on the back of my head from Nilesh.

After that mom gave me a traditional khandaani pearl maala. Made me wear the turban and the mojdi's. Rohan was wearing a cute baby blue colour sherwani with silver lining. He was joking around with Taani.

We went straight to my parents house "the baraati's as we call them were all dancing dancing , bursting crackers, throwing money. I shook my head typical Fat Indian Wedding. Rohan was looking at everything with an aaawww, this was the first time he was witnessing an Indian wedding that too his dadda's wedding with the love of his life. Sharon, I wonder if she how she must be looking in that white and Red panetar (it's what gujju's, marwadi's wear for their wedding, since Swayam is a marwadi so a panetar). Finally she will be mine. After our misunderstanding and 5 years of being apart.

Soon Simmi, Rinni, Nil, Amar, Bharat and Taani joined the dance and Rohan was sitting with me in the car.After we reached the venue. We were stalled at the entrance for the 'naak khichai' rasam done by mother in law. Then Kria and the other girls took me to the mandap and I was made to sit by Sharon. She was looking so beautiful just like baby, my 'baby girl'. I don't know whether she is happy with this wedding or not but she was smiling and that was one was a genuine smile I vowed myself to make her smile like this everyday of my life. The panditji began enchanting the mantras after that she asked us to stand up for the 'pheras'

We took the first step of the seven pheras to pledge that we would provide a prospered living for the household or the family that they would look after and avoid those that might hinder their healthy living.
During the second step of the seven pheras, Sharon and I promised each other that we would develop our physical, mental and spiritual powers in order to lead a lifestyle that would be healthy.
During the third vow, we promised to earn a living and increase by righteous and proper means, so that their materialistic wealth increases manifold.
While taking the fourth vow, we pledged to acquire knowledge, happiness and harmony by mutual love, respect, understanding and faith.
During the fifth vow we promised to have expand their heredity by having children, for whom, we will be responsible. We also prayed to be blessed with healthy, honest and brave children.
While taking the sixth step around the sacred fire, we prayed for self-control of the mind, body and soul and longevity of their marital relationship.
When we took the seventh and the last vow, we promised that we would be true and loyal to each other and would remain companions and best of friends for the lifetime.

Everyone around us clapped as the the panditji announced and ordered for me to make her wear the mangalsutra and the sindoor I did as he asked me to. The mangalsutra she was wearing finally showed that she was mine and I will do whatever it takes for me to bring my old Sharon back. When she happily and willingly gives herself to me not because of this wedding.

"vivah sampan hua". After that everyone came and hugged us. Our parent and our parents.

After everything was done, we signed the marriage papers which legal made us husband and wife. We took the 'aashirwaad' of all the elders. The bidaai ceremony took place it crushed my heart to see Sharon cry like that, true she was gonna miss them it's her last week here in India. Yes, sadly I have to return back to my work but after the emergency meeting that came up I'll take her for the honeymoon where ever she wants to go and however long her wish was, is and will always be my command.

After that we both sat in the car, Rey, Kria, Taani and Rohan were there in the car with us so I could not talk freely with Sharon. I guess it has to wait till the night. After 30 minutes we were standing outside my fully decorated apartment. My mom was standing inside with the 'aarti ki thali' in her hand. She asked Sharon to push the kalash with her toes and step on the thal with kumkum and fill my house with her auspicious steps.

Then we were made to play the ring game. Whoever finds the ring in the patila full my milk three times rules the house and ofcourse Sharon won the game, come on she rules my heart ofcourse she will rule the house. Then all the girls took her to my room while I was still outside talking to all the elders and the guys who were teasing me. When it was time for me to go to my room the girls cam in stood in front of me giggling and stopping me from going further.

"we want neg Swayam, warna no suhagraat for you', simmi said.

"haan bhai neg toh behen ka haq hota hai" Taani added.

" ok fine I took out all the money I had in my pocket and handed over to them.

'Suhagraat', it's going to be AWKWARD. Lets see what is there in store for me. One thing is for sure, if Sharon's not ready which I am sure she is not I am going to wait, wait till the day she will readily accept this relation and me.
