Anas Rashid's 'starry' homecoming experience

Anas Rashid, who essays the role of the main protagonist Suraj in Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus, is on cloud nine these days as he got back to Mumbai after spending some quality time at home.

In a brief chat with Tellychakar.com, an excited Anas shared his experience with us.

Averred the actor, "I went to my hometown Kotla, Punjab for Diwali and I was flabbergasted by the response that I got from the people there. As and when I landed, everyone recognized and greeted me with open arms; to my surprise, some even started calling me by my screen name Suraj. I was greatly humbled by their love. Trying to be normal with everyone, I told them that I was their same Anas and was just an actor."

"This was my first visit to my hometown since I started shooting. I was very happy seeing my parents and relatives. I was delighted by seeing the spark on their faces after finding me in front of them. I am thankful to God and each and everyone there for showering immense love and affection on me," Anas observed.
