Jab Tak Hai Jaan Day Two Figures

Jab Tak Hai Jaan collected around 19-19.50 crore nett on its second day as per early estimates taking its two day figure to around 32 crore nett. The film showed big growth all over apart from the circuits which were strong on day one.

The growth on day two is around 50% which is good but mass circuits did not show the growth they should have. Going by the trends on Wednesday, the film is likely to fair best in the big cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore.

Basically the clash has split the market Jab Tak Hai Jaan set to do better in some pockets and Son Of Sardaar set to do better in other pockets.

Katrina Kaif And Shah Rukh Khan In Jab Tak Hai Jaan Movie Stills

Jab Tak Hai Jaan had an excellent Day 1 at the box office as it made business of about 15 Crores as per early estimates. These numbers might vary since the film saw excellent night shows later.

JTHJ had a huge opening at multiplexes across the Metros in India collecting full houses or near full. However, late afternoon and evening shows dropped a bit due to Diwali Puja but the movie again saw a jump in the late night shows.

On the other side, Son of Sardaar saw a better run at single screens in mass circuits but Jab Tak Hai Jaan ruled the multiplexes. Performance in single screens at the mass belts was not as good as multiplexes since the movie is essentially a multiplex flick.

JTHJ is expected to show a good jump in its business today.

"Jab tak Hai Jaan" has done well by crossing 15 cr nett on day one despite competition from SOS. Film was expected to do well on 2nd day and film has certainly performed. Film also opened with big numbers overseas.

JAB TAK HAI JAAN Runs To Capacity Despite Bigger Release On Day Two

After collecting 15 cr nett on Tuesday, film jumped by almost 50% and as per early estimates film should collect 22.5 cr nett. Film collected well in all centers where it did well yesterday and registered growth in single screens in CP Berar, East Punjab, CI, Bihar and UP.

Film has got repeat audience even on 2nd day and that is a good news for the film. Film has to register a strong Thursday especially in single screens in North where 'Bhaiya Dooj' will get it good family audience. Tomorrow will decide that whether film will touch 100 cr in 6 days or more.

Film also opened in overseas territories with a bang as always the case with Shahrukh Khan starrer. Despite limited release as film willopen in all markets by tomorrow, film garnered in excess of 7 cr nett. It looks a good 50-60 cr weekend there and that is more than the budget of the film.

Film is only lagging in East Punjab and Rajasthan now but worldwide filmis heading for a huge total and might become the biggest or 2nd biggest hit of the year 2012. After all collections do count be it overseas or domestic.

JAB TAK HAI JAAN Crosses 100 Cr Worldwide

"Jab Tak Hai Jaan" was poised to do well over weekend and as SOS lost 8-10 cr nett due to shutting of cinemas in CP Berar and Maharashtra today, JTHJ too set to loose business in tune of 10-11 cr over the weekend. The exact tune of loss and collections can be determined only tomorrow when reports will come of final figures.

Its tough to predict business in this scenario. As per early estimates, film collected 11 cr nett on Saturday which takes film's total to 71 cr nett. Film will either touch 85 cr nett which is a bad result for the film as film got hurt when it matters most.

Though film is fortunate that it is doing brisk nusiness in overseas and film will recover money as well as make profit just riding on that. Having global appeal helps especially in todays time when business dynamics are so fragile.

Film collected approx 26 cr in 4 days and it seems that film will cross 45 cr for sure over the weekend as we predicted on Day one. That means film is set to cross 130 cr nett worldwide and around 160 cr gross collectionsin just week even after clash and this new sad development today.
