Karunya mesmerises Vizagites

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Vizagites could not but tapped their feet to the sizzling numbers of Indian Idol fame Karunya, who was here to perform at Gurajada Kalakshetram on Monday evening.
Even as rain played hide and seek during the musical night, the music lovers sat throughout the programme in the auditorium. Though started about an hour late, the enthusiastic audience had a gala time all through the show.
Karunya mesmerised the audience with his scintillating voice, while item girl Harshada performed for some Telugu and Hindi songs.
Anchor Rani kept the audience engaged and cheered them during the show.
The programme was organised by Varun Bajaj as part of its promotional programme. Varun Motors CEO T Vinod Kumar said that the programme was organised for Bajaj customers on the occasion of record sales of its motorcycles.
Earlier, speaking to the reporters, Karunya said that he was going on a month-long tour to USA.
"Soon after returning, I will start working on my new album in Hindi, which would be released in February next year," said Karunya, adding that he was receiving good support and offers from Tollywood and Bollywood. "My aim was to get recognised as a good singer in all languages," chuckles he.
