The movie is seriously out of sorts. Throughout the film Rani and SRK carried the look of guilt and shamelessly committed adultery. It seemed like they plunged into the relationship more coz they had free time and nothing else to do. Rani was bored with her life and SRK (Dev) was a no gooder. Their respective spouses were working hard whilst these two decrepit individuals were sitting and mulling over their lives. What is the great message to understand from this movie. I am lost. 😕 What is so mature about committing adultery just because you have no vision or u are bored with life.

In fact I felt that Rani and Abhishekh had more spark in certain scenes than Rani and SRK. Babying your husbad does not mean that u don't love him. Millions of women have a very protective and endearing sentiment towards ther spouse so Rani and Abhi's relationship was no different from the rest. It was not a loveless realtionship so to speak. The only rationale that I see is that she was frustrated with her sex life that's why she turned to a man who could satiate her ardour. This is the sick message that this movie is conveying. What is so human about it. I think it is so unnervingly inhuman and insensitive.

I personally think this was a very mature movie. It definitely does not work if you do not love the person and get into a marriage. You HAVE to love the person you marry, if not, it could be a living hell. In this case Abhishek and Preeti both loved their mates but it was not reciprocated and somehow from SRKs and Rani's first meeting, they kind of vibed and then later when they really started getting to know each other, love just happened. I do understand SRK had baggage, his son, mom but hey there is no use continuing a marriage if love is not mutual. Rani ofcourse from day one she was not really into getting married with Abhishek, even though he loved her to death. I think Karan has made a fantastic mature movie for this day and age. I enjoyed it. Life is not all about boy meets girl, fall in love, and live happily ever, once they get married then welcome to reality. :-)))

I liked the movie - its not the best in the world, but keeping in mind the sensibilities of the INdian people, I think Karan did a great job with such a topic.

Lets face it - you know how many couples "put up and shut up", live in loveless marriages - all because of what society might say, what others will think, etc.

In today's world, especially with working parents.. thats no longer necessary.

Who said all marriages are made in heaven. Marriages are made here on earth and you have to deal with reality. Complacency sets in, we start taking each other for granted. And oftentimes these things just work at pushing 2 people apart. All of sudden the person you knew so well has become a complete stranger.

Life is short, you have to live it to the fullest. You only have 1 chance. be mindful of your decisions, be responsible and responsive to the consequences.

Time heals all wounds - which Karan Johar showed so well. 3 years later - everyone is able to see that it worked out for the better.

the perfect ending would have been if the train had just left and srk never came back
