It took every ounce of courage Arnav had to pull away from Khushi. She was drunk and no matter how badly he wanted to pull her onto him and love her to his heart contended he reformed himself, he wouldn't take advantage like that, it was wrong. Instead Arnav sat back in his chair and looked into her innocent hazel eyes and smiled.
'I think we should be going home now, you're not in your senses' Arnav stated unwillingly, he began to feel so frustrated and despised the distance standing in between him and Khushi. Getting her home seemed like the most appropriate option right now.
'Okay' Khushi sighed pouting, Arnav smiled and turned to leave but Khushi did not get up behind him, he turned around in confusion and saw Khushi still sat in her chair holding her arms out to gesture the fact that she would like to be lifted to his car. Arnav didn't want to argue before he bent over and brought up the slim yet gorgeous figure into his arms and started walking towards the front of the hall enjoying the feel of his used-to-be wife in his arms after so long. Khushi wrapped her arms around Arnav's neck and rested her head comfily on his shoulder finding comfort in his arms like she always had. As Arnav approached the main part of the mansion Malaika, Akash and NK's gaze fell on them. NK and Akash watched their brother, the pride on their faces so visible they never imagined their Bhabi to be back in their brothers arms so soon and seeing Arnav's hidden happiness made them all the more thankful. Maliaka on the other hand was extremely angry but somewhere deep down she knew this would be coming.
'Aren't you a right player' Malaika spat at him as she snatched her purse viciously off the table and headed out, waving her hand for a taxi. Arnav looked away guiltily when his gaze fell on Khushi, she had already fallen asleep in his arms. The sight of it could not stop him from smiling once again.
'Things went really great back there by the looks of it' NK stated, gazing at his precious Bhabi.
'If by that you mean she kissed me and admitted to being jealous of Maliaka, then yes things went fantastically' Arnav boasted only to see his brothers' jaws drop
'She kissed you? What the hell' NK said confused looking down at the innocent girl Arnav was holding
'Well yeah, she drank alcohol which I'm pretty sure was by accident' Arnav explained, NK relaxed
'Bhabi's more feisty then I thought' NK joked
'Shut up' Arnav laughed
'Anyways, I better get her out of here, see you guys at home' Arnav said giving them a dismissive nod before walking off to his car.

Garima opened the front door to find Khushi asleep in Arnav's arms, she was slightly shocked to see her daughter with his ex husband again but didn't even dare bring it up.
'Arnav beta you?' Garima said bluntly
'Yes Aunty, actually Khushi got a little tipsy at the party so I had to bring her home' Arnav stated, Garima nodded and led Arnav towards her bedroom catching Shashi in the process
'Arnav? Nice to see you' Shashi said smiling at him, also not questioning his presence. Arnav greeted him back and headed to Khushi's room before placing her in her bed and coming back out again to find Shashi and Garima seated in the front room.
'I'm sorry about this I just thought I'd bring her home' Arnav said, explaining more then the answer itself said.
'It's okay son, you're still welcome to our house. I hope you know that' Shashi proposed confidently, Arnav smiled at him and sat down opposite the old couple playing with his hands again.
'Uncle, I'm pretty sure Khushi must have told you about the whole incident about our... marriage. I just wanted to tell you I didn't mean anything I said, the circumstances were very frustrating and I said absolutely anything in the heat of the moment. I know this is not an excuse in any way and I shouldn't have threatened her in such methods. I'm extremely sorry and I can not have you thinking wrong of me' Arnav said painfully, meaning every word he said. Shashi's heart finally relaxed, he was dying to hear those words from Arnav's mouth and now finally inhaling his explanation he sat relieved.
'Son, you don't understand how much it means to us that you needed to come and clarify these things. We may not have any value to you anymore after this divorce because Khushi herself didn't mean anything to you. But Arnav, we are very thankful of you' Shashi expressed unable to hide his happiness and pride. Arnav's stiffened
'Uncle, please do not ever say that again. By the sounds of it Khushi hasn't told you the full story has she?' Arnav urged, Shashi looked at him confused
'What full story?' Garima asked him helplessly, Arnav took a deep breath and began to speak.
'After our honeymoon, I began to fall for Khushi. Her every movement her every word her everything began to impact me dearly but I never understood what it meant. Later I realized that I had very much fallen for her and I wanted to make her mine forever but when I told her my feelings she thought that I was confused. She said I was mixing my duties with my feelings and this wouldn't be permanent. I did my best to keep her but she wanted a divorce Uncle. For her happiness I sacrificed it all and gave her what she wanted, purely to see her happy. You both are still my parents and whether Khushi is with me or not I plead you to let me keep this right' Arnav said softly, Shashi and Garima looked at him with their eyes beginning to well up, they definitely could not have asked for a better son-in-law then him, even if he had an unusual way of expressing things, he was a flawless human being.
'Son, I never have and never will take this right from you' Shashi said, pride bursting through his aura so perfectly. Garima nodded in agreement, her tears preventing her from finding the words to speak, until she finally managed to
'Arnav beta, Khushi never told me about your feelings?' Garima wondered
'Because she doesn't think they're true. She refuses to believe it, and I can not insist more then I already have. I know she doesn't feel anything at all' Arnav explained helplessly
'I wouldn't go by that Arnav. I spoke to her before the party about you and she was a lost soul. She didn't clearly say no to having feelings. In fact I got a maybe from her. Beta, I know my daughter very well and I just know you can win her over if you're determined. She's soft hearted, she wont block you out for too long' Garima told happily, Arnav smiled
'That's all I needed to hear. As long as I know that she has even the slightest of feelings for me, then it gives me all the confidence to win her back' Arnav answered confidently
'She's all yours son, we will stick by you with this' Shashi assured warmly
'Thank you Uncle' Arnav said standing up to leave
'Son, not uncle anymore' Shashi hinted standing up too
'Babu Ji' Arnav corrected, before he walked forward and took blessings from Shashi who instantly pulled him up to a hug. Garima cried happy tears at the sight of Shashi finally having a son by his side. This family was not far from completing itself.

Anjali opened the door to an extremely happy Arnav, she stared at his happiness in confusion, what had gotten into him?
'Why are you so happy Chote? Any special occasion?' Anjali asked sitting down in the living room followed by her brother. Arnav sat down and played out all of the events of the day to his Di, from the party to the scene with Shashi and Garima. Anjali went from smiling to smirking to gasping and then to crying.
'Chote I can't explain how happy I am for you!' Anjali said hugging her younger brother whilst in tears
'I know, but why are you crying?' Arnav questioned, confused at how she was happier then he was
'Because you've never gotten such parental love before, I understand our parents left us and seeing how accepting you, Shashi Uncle and Garima Aunty are of each other makes me so happy. I tried my best as a mother figure but being alone and d-' Arnav stood up angrily cutting his Di off
'You don't need to mention all of this Di' Arnav said a little angrier now. Anjali stood up as well and placed a hand on his shoulder
'Arnav, just because I don't actually say the word divorced doesn't mean I'm not. If I have became accepting of it, then why can't you?' Anjali wondered
'Because that man ruined our lives Di, he ruined your life and I can't just forget it like that Di. I witnessed it all and having to be the reason for your divorce still pains me' Arnav said, his voice breaking like him
'You didn't cause my divorce just because you told me what a horrible man Shyam was. In fact you saved me from something worse that could of come. Don't hold yourself responsible for this Arnav otherwise I wouldn't be able to forget this all either' Anjali said glumly, Arnav turned around and held his sisters hands in his before he slowly looked up at her
'Fine Di, I'll do anything you need me too. But just know that you will never be alone, I'm always going to be here for you till my last breath and you have my word on that' Arnav said painfully, Anjali's tears fell even harder as she hugged her brother
'You're my everything Di, I love you' Arnav said behind teary eyes
'I love you too Chote' Anjali sobbed

Khushi's eyes slowly opened to the daylight, she got up and rubbed her eyes until she realized a strange banging in her head making her groan
'Drank too much last night' She moaned to herself until her eyes shot open recalling the fact she had drunk last night. Khushi then gasped and hit a hand over her mouth as she recalled all the events last night, clearly she hadn't drank enough to forget everything because she screamed aloud as images of her kissing Arnav flashed into her mind.
'Khushi, what's wrong?' Garima said walking in, looking very worried
'A-amma, h-how did I get home last night?' Khushi managed, Garima smirked
'Arnav brought you home' Garima said calmly causing her eyes to widen even further.
'Now get up, you have work today' Garima said walking out, Khushi gulped, she would have to do a lot of explaining at work today.
