Maan (angrily stood from the chair): Ha mai karuga Geet se shaadi.
Both Dadima and Geet looked at Maan surprisingly. Maan added with determination.
Maan: Mai karuga Geet se shaadi or ye shaadi kal hi hogi.
Dadima and Geet looked at him shocked and surprised. Dadima tried to speak.
Dadima: Kal'.Ek din me sab kuch kaise hoga'
Maan: Dadima its my final decision, shaadi kal hi hogi and I want it to be a personal affair. Or agar koi problem hai to we will do court marriage. Now its up to you aap court marriage chahti hai ya indian wedding.
Dadima looked at him angrily, why he is always so adamant.
Dadima (frustrated at his stubbornness): Maan why are you so adamant to marry tomorrow.
Maan (ignoring): I have some urgent work'..
Maan angrily marched from there. Dadima was, though very irritated and frustrated at his stubbornness, but very happy as her plan succeed. Geet was still in shock and bewildered. Though in her heart she was happy, and wanted to be a special part in his life, but she didn't want him to be forced for any kind of relationship. She wanted his happiness only.
Dadima (happily): Beta hum aaj bahut khush hai. Maan or aapki shaadi dekhne ke liye hum bahut betaab hai.
Geet: Dadima mai ye shaadi nahi kar sakti.
Dadima (shocked and sad): Beta kya baat hai, kya aapko Maan pasand nahi?
Geet (with moist eyes): Nahi Dadima aisi koi baat nahi hai. Mai unse isliye shaadi nahi karna chahti kyuki mai unse bahut pyaar karti hu.
Dadima looked at her confused, if she loved him a lot why she was denying to marry him.
Geet: Maan Sir ye shadi apni marzi se nahi karna chahte, balki wo ye shaadi meri dignity ke liye karna chahte hai. Dadima mera pyar itna svarthi nahi ki apne dil ka armaan pura karne ke liye mai unki khushi ko maar du.
Dadima was surprised and happy looking at the intensity of her love for Maan.
Dadima: Geet beta Maan ki khushi aapse dur rehne mai nahi balki aapke sath rehne mai hai. Maan bahut akele hai beta. Unhe koi aisa chahiye jo unke akelepan ko baat sake, unhe samaj sake, unke har dukh, har sukh me unke sath ho, unki parwah kare, unse pyar kare. Or ye sab beta sirf aap hi kar sakti hai. Aap hi bataiye kya aap nahi chahti Maan khush ho? (Geet nodded) Hum bhi yehi chahte hai ki aap dono hamesha khush rahe, or Maan bhi aapko pasand karte hai, par shayad unhe is cheez ka ehsaas nahi hai, or ek aap hi hai jo unhe ye ehsaas kara sakti hai. Hume aap pura bharosa hai. Or ab aap ye tension chod kar hamare sath shopping par chaliye. Hume aap dono ke liye wedding dresses lena hai.
Geet smiled a bit. And both Dadima and Geet headed for shopping.
Evening came and till now the whole Khurana Mansion was glittering with lights. Every corner of the mansion was embedded with flowers and lights. A person entered Khurana Mansion, unaware of the occasion, and was very surprised seeing the decorations.
Person (thought): Wow' is baar mere welcome ke liye itni sari decorations karwayi hai'.great'shayad party bhi throw ki hogi.
He came inside and saw Dadima instructing some servants. He called her from behind.
Person: Dadima'.
Dadima turned around and surprisingly gave a wide smile with moist eyes.
Dadima: Vicky'.
Vicky came and hugged Dadima. Vicky, or Vicky Singh Khurana, younger brother of Maan Singh Khurana, totally opposite of Maan's nature, a very fun loving guy. Vicky loved Maan a lot. He came from London after completing his education. Vicky parted from Dadima and wiped her tears.
Vicky: Dadima aap fir rone lagi, agar Maan bhai ne dekh liya ki meri wajah se aapki aakho me aasu aaye hai to meri garden he udaa dege.
Dadima playfully hit his chest.
Vicky: Dadima mene to socha tha me aapko or Maan bhai ko surprise duga, lekin yaha par to aap dono ne hi mujhe surprise kar diya mere liye ye welcome party rakh kar.
Dadima: Beta ye aapki welcome party ki nahi Maan ki shaadi ki tayariya ho rahi hai.
Vicky: whaattt''
Vicky was amazed as he was well aware of Maan's nature as well as his likes and dislikes, or to say his most disliked object, i.e. women. But he was happy as Maan is again giving chance to his life.
Dadima: Ha Vicky Maan is getting married and that too tomorrow.
Vicky: whaaattt'.itni jaldi, or aap logo ne mujhe kuch bataya bhi nahi, thank God I am on time.
Dadima: Beta sab kuch itni jaldi ho gaya ki hum aapko inform hi nahi kar paye. Chaliye hum aapko aapki bhabhi se milate hai.
Vicky: Dadima Bhabhi yehi aayi hui hai?
Dadima: Beta wo yehi rehti hai.
Dadima told everything to Vicky about Geet. They both went and met Geet.
Vicky: Dadima ke introduce karane se pehle hi mai aapko apna introduction de deta hu. Hello Bhabhi I am Vicky, aapka eklota nanha munha se devar.
Geet (smiled): Hello!
Trio talked and enjoyed till evening. Geet enjoyed the company of Vicky, as he seemed to be a cute brother to her. Evening came and Maan was back from office. Vicky came and hugged Maan tightly, he got emotional seeing Maan after a long time, as Maan was a fatherly figure to him. Maan smiled seeing him back. Even Geet and Dadima got emotional seeing their bonding.
Vicky: Bhai me aapse bahut gussa hu.
Maan: Kyu?
Vicky: Pehle to aapka saara pyar mera tha, par ab to shayad lagta hai 20% pyar hi mujhe milega, ya fir lagta hai utna bhi nahi milega.
Dadima: Aapko aisa kyu lagta hai Vicky?
Vicky (mischievously): Bhabhi itni beautiful jo hai, shaadi se pehle hi Bhai mujhe bulana bhul gaye, shaadi ke baad to lagta hai dono room se bahar hi nahi nikelege, to mujhe pyar karna to bahut dur ki baat hai.
Both Geet and Maan were embarrassed. Her cheeks turned tomato red. She certainly wanted to hide somewhere at that time, Dadima grinned at their plight. Maan gave an angry glare to Vicky and Dadima. Both stopped and showed their puppy faces to which Maan melted in few minutes.
Geet: Mai dinner ki tayari karti hu.
Geet left from there, as she was hell embarrassed on Vicky's comment and was scared of his big mouth. After few hours they all have their dinner, and slept waiting for the most important day.
Next day, the whole mansion was in a hustle-bustle. There were just 15-16 people, only the close relatives, no one from office. And the most awaited moment came. Both Maan and Geet came to mandap. They were standing before each other looking in each other's eyes as if confessing something, with garlands in their hands.
Maan (thought; self-confessing looking in Geet's eyes): Geet mai tumhe wo pyar kabhi nahi de sakta jo ek patni apne pati se chahti hai, kyuki mere liye ye rishta bahut pehle hi mar chukka hai. Lekin mai tumse vaada karta hu ki koi bhi tum par aaj ke baad ungli nahi uthayega.
Geet (thought; self-confessing looking in Maan's eyes): Maan Sir mai janti hu ki ye shaadi aapke liye majboori hai, lekin mere liye ye ek bahut hi pavitra rishta hai. Mai aapse bahut pyar karti hu, or ab meri jindagi ka maksad sirf aapko khushi or pyar dena hai.
Kabhi-kabhi hum ek doosre ko kho kar bhi to pyaar ko uucha darza dete hai,
Judaa rehkar pyar ki uuchaiyo ko prapt karte hai.
Har pyar milan to nahi,
Judaai bhi to ek pyaar hai.
They put garlands on each other and the marriage ceremony started. They sat in front of the sacred fire. Dadima came and tied geet's duppatta's end with Maan's sherwani pallu, actually tying them for their seven births.

Now they again stood up for the saat phere. Panditji chanted the mantras and they start taking the pheras. They took the first phera and panditji explained them the meaning of the first phera.
Bridegroom- "My beloved, our love becomes firm by your walking one step with me. You will offer my food and be helpful in every way. I will cherish you and provide for your welfare and happiness and also that of your children."
Bride- "I humbly submit to you, my lord. Kindly give me the responsibility of the home, food and finance. I promise you that i shall fulfill all responsibilities towards the welfare of the family and the children."

Hum mile na mile'.

Rahegi sadaa yahaaa'.
Pyaar ki ye dastaaan'.

Bridegroom- "My beloved, now you have walked the second step with me. Fill my heart with strength and courage and together we shall protect the household and the children."
Bride- "My lord, in your grief, I shall fill your heart with courage and strength. In your happiness , I shall rejoice, I promise you that I will please you always with sweet words and take care of the family and the children. And you shall love me and me alone as your wife."
Rang dhal jaate hai,
Din badal jaate hai.
Raate so jaati hai,
Raahe kho jaati hai.
Bridegroom- "My beloved, now you have walked three steps with me. By virtue of this, our wealth and prosperity are going to grow. I shall look upon all other woman as my sisters. Together, we will educate our children and may their live long."
Bride- "My lord, I will love you with single minded devotion as my husband. I will treat all other men as my brothers. My devotion to you is that of a chaste wife. This is my commitment and pledge."
Pyaar khooota nahiii'.
Pyaar sooota nahiii'.
Pyar dhalta nahi...
Ha badalta nahi.
Bridegroom- "My beloved, it is a great blessing that you have walked four steps with me.You have brought auspiciousness and sacredness into my life. May we be blessed with obedient and noble children. May they live long."
Bride-"My lord, I will adorn myself from head to toe with sandalwood paste and fragrance for your sake. I will serve you and please you in every way I can."

Bridegroom- "My beloved, you have filled my heart with happiness walking six steps with me. May you fill my heart with joy and peace at all times and season."
Bride- "My lord, in all acts of righteousness, in material prosperity in all enjoyment and divine acts, I promise you I will participate and I shall always be with you."
Dhadkane hai jawaaan'
Gaa raha hai samaaan'.
Pighli pighli si haaaiii'..
Mehki tanhaiiiyaaan.
Bridegroom- "My beloved, as you walked the seven steps with me, our love and friendship became eternal. We experienced spritual union in God. Now you have become completely mine and I offer my life to you. Our marriage will be forever."
Bride- "My lord, as per the law of God and the Holy Scriptures, I have become your spouse with the taking of the seventh step. Whatever promises we gave, we did so with a pure mind. We will be truthful to each other in all matters. We will love each other forever."

Geet was very happy, she felt heavenly. Maan did not show any emotion, but in his heart he was feeling satisfied and contented, as if he didn't want anything now. Maan then took the sindoor and filled her maang with his name and claim. Geet contentedly closed her eyes. Then he took the mangalsutra and tied in her neck, tying her to himself forever, ever and ever.
