I seriously think its time to end this show with a beautiful episode. Give the cast and crew a break and then come back with Season 2 after a couple of months with the same cast. This would be beneficial to all the parties involved in IPKKND, physically and emotionally.
How would it benefit?
Cast : They have been entertaining us for the last 1.5 years, and what an entertainment it has been. We have been sucked into Arshi's world and have been a witness to their trials and tribulations, their love and hate, their pain and pleasure, their tears and smiles. In short, the cast imprinted Arshi in our heart and soul, our lives and our world. And to achieve this wonderful feat, they have gone beyond their 100 percent. After such a fantabulous job, they surely deserve a break, particularly Barun and Sanaya. They deserve to enjoy and fruits of their labour, they deserve to enjoy with their loved ones, they deserve to relax doing things they enjoy, their tired bodies and aching cells deserve to be rejuvenated. They deserve their fans love, patience and understanding. Once their mind, body and soul are recharged, they can be back with a bang in Season 2, to suck us back into the vortex i.e. IPKKND.
Crew : The wonderful crew, (and I would like to include the writes, directors, editors, technicians and all other connected with the show) who got us hooked to this beautiful show with their writing, direction, editing, execution deserve our thanks. But now the writers seems to have run out of ideas for plots or they are suffering from a writers block, the director are either tired or frustrated, the editing team does not seem to be giving their complete attention to the editing. The shoddy execution of some episodes, point to their frustration or irritation or waning interest. They can come back after the break with renewed vigour, fresh tracks in line with the storyline without diluting the characters traits. They could even revisit the old episodes to remind themselves about what they are capable of, their wonderful tracks and the execution.
PH and Gul : They are the ones who have given us such a beautiful story and amazing characters. Its their baby, whom they have nurtured with care, and sent into our lives to brighten our days. They deserve an applause and our appreciation for bringing our emotions into the open. Somewhere along the line, they lost their focus when their new show was born and they were unable to do justice to IPKKND . A break would help them to concentrate on their new show, which needs their focus in the initial stages. After a few months, they can shift their focus back to Season 2 of IPKKND. They can give more scope to the other characters so that they are not left out. This way they would be able to do justice to both their shows, their cast and crew and their viewers.
Channel : The channel will get their viewers back, because loyal fans of IPKKND will be eagerly waiting for Season 2. The channel can cash on the fans interest. They can and will create a hype before the start of Season 2. This will ensure maximum TRP for the channel. Am aware a lot of people subscribe to STAR for IPKKND, so with the new season, the channel can be assured of their renewed subscriptions.
Viewers/Fans : We get IPKKND back. We get our Arshi back with renewed passion and intensity. We get new, amazing storylines. We fall in love all over again with Arshi . The smiles, tears, pleasure, pain will be back on the emotional roller-coaster called IPKKND .
SO SEASON 2 OF IPKKND WOULD BE A WIN-WIN SITUATION FOR ALL THE PARTIES CONCERNED.
(I really wanted IPKKND to be the first daily soap to have a Season 2, but a show on Colours beat us to it. That specific shows Season 2 starts in Jan 2012. But am sure, Season 2 of IPKKND will be a rocking success and set the path for more Seasons. STAR, 4 Lions, Gul will be able to set a trend on how to capture the viewers interest and convert them into loyal fans.)
