Personally, I think there is a method to EK's madness, I'm embarrassed to admit it, but she does have her audience figured out. When an average girl/woman from the masses, watches this show or like you pointed out any of the other Indian shows... unconsciously they send out thanks for their own lives in comparison to the lead's... The thought they take to bed subliminally is that their life isn't a bed of roses, but atleast it's not as bad as SiNal's, their hubby/father isn't the gem they had wished for but atleast he isn't as useless as KC😆 Seeing their favorite couple unhappy makes many of them feel warm & secure in their own hell holes.
Look at it this way...KC makes some of the worst husbands look like bright, upright men & for this reason he must continue to fall, for his niggardly ways are responsible for maintaining the sanctity of marriage & family life in many a household😆

LOL...😆...Oh, so that is Ekta's agenda. Wow, then I have to say she has succeeded beyond belief. I'm sure each person watching this show thanks their lucky stars every single day that their life is not as messed up as that of the leads here.

Thank you Ekta ji and so called "story writers" for showing us incomprehensible shit so that we remain thankful for our mundane lives.

Only watch Parichay so can't comment much on other shows but what story have they given in Parichay? But on tv characters work, well they even mutilated characters.

@Fari & Deepshadow - whatever EK say is nothing but bullshit. In Parichay leap promotion she said USP of the show is family and she ran out of ideas so leap was necessary. Are you kidding me? here on forum we had given more than ample ideas how to move ahead but they resorted to usual pregnancy, leap, separation and kids.

Now it may have worked in her other shows where she has figured out her audience. But not Parichay. Parichay trp were highest when SINAL were together side by side. Also people loved seeing Kunal protecting his wife, not just when chased by goons. But we all loved how Kunal defended Siddhi against family, in court against Thakral and later willing to give up his innocence. I don not see positive comments any where when they show Kunal not supporting Siddhi. Majority were miffed when they forced damn leap and inaction from Kunal. Trps reflected that. Parichay was promoted as story of fallen hero and people tuned in for that. Sure SINAL has boosted trps but not by mutilating Kunal.

I agree there are people who may get happy saying at least our life is not messed up like these two idiots but I have not seen that for Parichay. Trps actually rise when SINAL are together, happy and side by side supporting each other.

EK need to get her facts straight when she says audience is not ready.
