TOI: Shashanks new found love

Actor Shashank Vyas (Jagya from balika vadhu) was at Prithvi theatre last night to watch the play 'Begum Jaan' directed by Nadira Zaheer Babbar's who runs the theatre group Ekjute.

With Juhi Babbar, Nadira Babbar and Anupam Kher in the lead, Shashank had a wonderful experience and seemed to enjoy his first time experience watching a play. Says Shashank, "It was a nice experience for me because I have been to Prithvi theatre many times but this is the first time I'm watching a play."

Shashank was accompanied by few friends and fellow actor Manish Naggdev.

(Begum Jaan is the story of an old woman (Nadira Babbar) in her eighties and who lives with her granddaughter (Juhi Babbar) and how their lives turn around when a journalist walks into their simple life).

Adds Shashank, "The actors were amazing and I would love to do a play because I enjoy theatre but am scared". Explaining, "Theatre is tougher because you don't have retakes and plays require heavy rehearsals".

But Shashank has nothing to worry about because an actor who can play negative and positive shades with equal panache can do wonders on the stage too!
