Nafrat paas aane na de, Mohabbat door jaane na de...
Iss pyar ko kya naam doon.

Now it is this contradiction that lies at the base of IPK. But now the conditions have changed hugely, there cannot be pure hatred anymore, cz now there is the acknowledged love. But just because there is love doesn't mean there won't be any trouble. IPKKND, is a journey of love and hate, and if the ultimate destination is reached the journey would come to an end, so there cannot be unadulterated hatred and untroubled love, Arshi will always find themselves somewhere in between the two emotions.

Now lets come to the Ying-Yang

Now do u forget the very basic contrast of characters that makes the lovestory so interesting, I'll refresh ur mind,
ASR-"Tum kabhi ASR ban bhi nai sakti kyunki wo banne ke liye jo chahiye wo tumhare paas hai hi nai, pehle bhi bata chuka hoon and phir bata raha hoon, use dimag kehte hai."
Khushi-"hamare paas ek aisi cheez hai jiske rehte hm aap kabhi nai ban sakte. Pehle bhi bata chuke hai phir batate hai, use dil kehte hai."

Now if u got it wrong, the point here was not to show that ASR is heartless or Khushi is brainless, its the same ASR who bought the pigeons for the girl in the temple and who loves his di more than anything in the world, who risked his life in the hut, so he could save Khushi's, who was a good son in law during hate-marriage track and during love-marriage track.
And its the same khushi who brought back Arnav from the traps of death, who fought and won almost every challenge that ASR threw her way during her job at AR, who plotted Shyams final faceoff. What is highlighted through this dialogue is that though both are there, heart and mind but what rules is what makes us who we are.

Khushi thinks with her heart and Sheetal knows that. The bitch has played her cards right and had targetted where it hurt the most, at the daughter that Khushi could never be, at the son that Arnav could never be, showing her a possible Khushi or Arnav in Aarav and having felt both hers and Arnav's pain, is it really that impossible to believe that Khushi could act in a way that she does. Secondly Khushi didn't believe Sheetal, she believed the report. So what should she have done, repeated Anjali's mistake of being blind to what lays in front of u, didn't we criticise Anji for that then why do we expect that from Khushi? Also the DNA being positive doesn't really make Arnav a lier, well all know nothing happened by now, but thinking from Khushi's filmy mind there could be a case fo drunken night of which he remembers nothing,(how many times have we seen this plot in movies) as Khushi had thought the day she tore off the DNA reports, "ho sakta hai Arnavji bhool gaye ho." And how exactly is Arnav supposed to know that he has a son, if he had never been told about it. Khushi is mature to understand all this and is thus not blatantly hating him blaming him of infidelity for a time when he didn't believe in love and marriage or knew of her existence. She is just hurt for the kindered soul she sees in Aarav.

But Arnav is all mind. He is oblivious of how his naive wife is being played at and will take care of the situation the moment he knows where the fault lies. Ans so its essential for the sake of the drama to continue that he shouldn't know the whole thing, like it was essential that Khushi didn't know anything during the hate marriage track. Arnav is practical and logical and is thus reluctant to take Aarav's father's place as he firmly believes it would be giving the child false hopes and thus wrong at all levels. He is taking the practical approach here, and stands his ground cz he knows he is right.

About follies and mistakes...
Haven't we all had our share of stupid mistakes? But not going there lets talk about drama. Take any great tragedy (I talk about tragedy cz conventionally literature recognizes only two genres of drama, tragedy and comedy, and while IPK has elements of both, the current track is more along the lines of tragedies) like Othello or The Changeling or Antony and Cleopatra or the modern ones like Who is Afraid of Virginia Woolf or The Halfway House (the latter two strictly speaking belong to the modernist tradition, but the element of tragedy can still be seen), in each of these cases the action, the drama, the plot is a result of fate, a vicious manipulative villain and the hero's (who is larger than life, like Khushi and Arnav) own folly, hamartia, as Aristotle called it. Now lets apply it here. The role of fate is supreme in everything that happens in the show be it Arnav khushi meeting eachother or Arnav's jeeja falling for the same girl, or Sheetal and Aarav crossing Arshi's path, basically everythin. Now the second factor, the ruthlessly manipulative villain, and here we have the bitch Sheetal (I don't think much doubt remains that she is a bitch now). And finally the thing that seperates or rather distinguises the hero as the hero, making him/her a larger than life persona, their abilities and their foolies. Now Khushi's folly is her naivety and her outlook of the world taking things at face value, thinking everyone is as transparent as she is. And her power is to be able to think beyond herself, she is naturally warm and kindhearted and one might argue that it makes her weak, but according to me sacrifice and raising your voice are the two highest forms of power and she has both.

So that all said, lets rethink what we are watching now. The first thing to remember is that its not real life and if the characters reacted to the situations like we normally do, there would be nothing new or gr8 or extraordinary about it, there would be no show then.

And the final thing is, both Arnav and Khushi are incomplete halves, she all heart and he all mind. But when together they are perfect and a force that can fight anything and everything.

Personally I am happy to see the characters back in their element, the story line back in place and the spine of the show, the contradiction that defines Arshi and IPK, back with a bang.

I am loving it.

I am hoping so too, nd that too after a long time, as the intensity has finally made its way back. Just hope they don't go astray once again and keep the track tight.😊

Well personally I think its a bit too soon for that, cz once Arnav knows he'll take care. Maybe the revelation regarding Sheetal's plans and motives will be made to the audience, while the characters still remain in the dark.

Very well written. I simply wish Khushi gets the courage to talk to Arnav openly. She tends to try and solve problems all on her own. She should draw the courage from the knowledge that her husband loves her very much.

Arshi should confront Sheetal jointly, hand in hand. No force can separate them if they are together.
