Everybody are quite familiar with the fact that there is a war going on between Ajay Devgn's production house and Yash Raj Films, for their respective release dates happening on the same day during Diwali. Just recently Ajay Devgn Films Pvt Ltd had filed a complaint at The Competition Commission of India (CCI) stating that YRF had used their dominant position against exhibitors and thus they had dedicated more number of screens for their forthcoming release 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan', rather than for his movie 'Son of Sardaar' on November 13.
The Delhi High Court had then ordered the CCI to "expeditiously" decide on Ajay Devgn Films complaint, whether YRF's had purposely used their dominant position to get more number of screens and affected Son of Sardaar. However Yash Raj Films had denied using their dominant position and monopolisation of the exhibitors.
After scrutinizing everything, The Competition Commission has recently rejected the complaint which was lodged by the actor tuned filmmaker Ajay Devgn against Yash Raj Films, and stated that the plea doesn't have any plus point. A senior official of CCI reveals, "The Commission has rejected the complaint of Ajay Devgn against Yash Raj Films as there was no merit in it. The complaint does not fall under any area that violates Competition rules."
The fair trade supervisory body has not found any infringement of Section 3 of the Competition Act that relates to anti-competitive contracts, and thus the complaint was dismissed. Well with respect to this Ajay Devgn had certainly lost the battle against YRF on legal terms, but we believe that the final verdict would be given by the mango people only on the day of their releases. Both the movies, JTHJ and SOS, are all set to release during Diwali, on November 13, 2012https://www.indiaforums.com/article/kangana-ranaut-rejects-oscar-suggestion-for-emergency-america-can-keep-their-silly-award_219373
