" May I know who you are lady?" Armaan asked checking the girl from top to bottom

"Wouldn't it be better if I say it inside, saves time which is essential now" she replied.

Armaan glared at her once and then opened the door wider "Come in"

She smiled at him and walked past. Armaan followed her sending mental messages to others.

She stopped midway into the hall and met every eye that was looking into hers.

"Why are you here?" Chand asked .

"I gather you know me" the girl addressed him.

"I am more aware of Aldar than he and his coven presumes" Chand said "He was once a friend"

"Does she belong to the aldarians?" Abhay questioned glowering at the girl.

"No I don't, I am a free vampire who belong to none" the girl replied "The name is Tirtha"

"She was turned by Aldar and was once his most prized possession" Chand added "And right now, I presume you are his greatest enemy"

"Greatest or not I don't know, but he wants me dead" Tirtha replied "But he can't"

"Vampires are immortal not invincible" Haseena said.

Just then Jeh, Neil , Sur and Nidha came in. Sur looked dazed and was holding hands with both Nidha and Neil.

"Guess we interrupted a conversation" Jeh commented.

"What news do you have Jeh" Armaan asked.

"Can't say now" Jeh indicated at Tirtha.

"When I finish probably you would be able to disclose it" Tirtha replied giving him a side long glance.

"So I was saying Aldar wouldn't be able to kill me" Tirtha said "And you" she pointed at Haseena "Were saying vampires are immortal but not"

"You are an immortal" Armaan interrupted .

"Did you mean to say that what we want just voluntarily walked into our midst" Abhay said.

"Why not test it" Jeh said. He strode over to the fireplace and pulled a half burned log. Turning around he threw it directly at Tirtha's heart.

Ankie let out a scream , Fiza's eyes widened and Aysha nearly fainted.

"Jeh!" Nidha screamed and Sur hid her face in Neil's chest.

Tirtha stumbled on the impact but soon straightened up. With a little force she pulled out the log and threw it back at her attacker, targeting his abdomen. Jeh was knocked over .

"Proof enough" Tirtha glared at Jeh, who was being helped up by Nidha

He pulled out the dagger and returned the glare.

"Not proof enough but there is another way" Chand said "Follow me"

Everyone filed behind him, as Chand led them into the room which contained

"The Bogus Mirror" Tirtha said

"Dad, I hope you know what you are doing" Abhay said.

"Tirtha please face the mirror" Chand said "Sur come here and tell us what you see"

Sur shuffled forward not looking at anyone in particular. When she reached the mirror she looked up and looked confused.

"I can't see anything, have I lost my powers" she panicked. Loosing her ability when they most needed it would be disastrous. The same though crossed the others minds

"No my dear, you can't see anything because and immortal has no mirror image" Raghav said from back.

He strode forward and gazed at Tirtha.

"You are just as I remember you, perhaps with better conscience" he said.

"So now we have an immortal" Armaan said "We are still short of a doppelganger and a" he turned to look at Arnav "hybrid"

"Did you make up your mind yet" Abhay asked bluntly.

"It's not like going on a tour" Arnav retorted.

"Oh c'mon man! You are a supernatural! If a human can go in then why can't you" Jeh exclaimed.

"A human! " Nidha narrowed her eyes.

"Well not any human Nidha, it's you" Abhay said.

"Very subtle Raichand" Jeh sneered.

"Someone had to do it Khuranna" Abhay said.

"Wait a minute" Nidha said "I am supposed to be a part of the team and I don't know yet! What were you planning to do kidnap me!" she screamed.

"Listen Nidha this is important" Armaan began.

"Armaan I will go, I know how important it is, Sur told me and besides I don't want anything happening that can give Virat anymore power than he already has. The point is you ought to have told me" Nidha said.

"We are sorry Nidha, we underestimated you" Abhay apologized

"Jeh what is it that you wanted to say" Chnad asked.

Jeh looked at Sur who was staring dead pan at the floor. Neil squeezed her hand and she looked up with tears in her eyes.

"It's up to you Sur" Neil said softly.

Anky moved towards her sister "Sur what's the matter?"

"Di I'I" Sur stuttered and then broke down in her arms.

"Anky take her into the room there, I will sent in some water" Haseena advised.

"Let them be alone Fiza" Neil said when Fiza made to follow them.

"Well let's just say for now that Virat is getting out of hand and he needs dealing with. But we can't go off track as of now" Jeh said.

"We need to enter the bogus mirror soon" Raghav said looking out of a window "With Kabir in the Aldarians custody, the scepter will soon be compromised. We can't take more time"

"Which means it is up to you now Arnav" Haseena said.

All eyes turned to him.

"I have never wanted anything to do with this world" Arnav said. He watched the various expressions on all faces.

"The only thing I wanted was a normal life, a normal family" he looked at Raghav "But you were never there, neither was Mother"

"I am sorry son" Raghav was deeply hurt.

"I have always wanted to be a human" he said more to himself "If the bogus mirror is so powerful and can reveal many things maybe I will get my answers, so yes I will come"

Raghav gazed at his son and then nodded.

"Now we need one more piece ' a doppelganger" Neil said looking at all.

Everyone looked equally at sea.

"Well we also need to know why an immortal just walked into our midst?" Abhay raised the question, which led all eyes to Tirtha.

"We share a common enemy ' Aldarians" Tirtha said "They should never possess the scepter, if that happens it is more than likely that all who oppose them will perish"

"How very sympathetic, but sorry to say we can't trust you" Jeh said.

"I get that wolf, you people don't seem to trust each other either" she indicated Jeh and Abhay.

"None of your business, we need to know why we should take you with us" Abhay said.

"One ' Immortals are not for sale. Two- Your other option is Virat, yes" Tirtha paused looking at all shocked faces "He can't be killed, thanks to the dual souls. Three ' I have a score with Aldar. Reason enough"

"She is going Abhay, it's my decision" Chand said with finality.

"Once we get a doppelganger that is" Neil added.

Aldarians….

Kabir's screams would've torn apart many hearts. As the Aldarians tortured him and the wizard performed the spell, Kabir fought valiantly to uphold his duty.

Sid stood by watching this with abored expression. His hand was wound around Niyala's waist, caressing it. Niyala had kept her promise, though he hardly knew her real intentions.

Between the tortures Kabir got a glimpse of Sid.

"I wonder how you will face your sister" he croaked.

"Tsk tsk, you should be worrying about yourself" Siddarth sneered.

Niyala suddenly had an idea.

"Kabir why are you protecting the scepter? To protect that girlfriend who betrayed you" she crooned

"Akanksha would never betray me" Kabir spat between screams.

"Really? Then how do you think a girl who once hated you started dating you so easily. Hmm" she bent down close to his face, using her own powers of persuasion.

"She wouldn't" Kabir pertained.

"She betrayed you Kabir, she betrayed you" Niyala persisted "Now why are you protecting the scepter"

Kabir 's strength was rapidly draining and he continued gazing at Niyala .

Raichand Mansion…..

Even late into the night the mansion, it's inhabitants and guests were awake. Racking their brains over the doppelganger issue. Anky and Sur were still in the room, sharing their respective sorrows.

"A doppelganger is as rare as an immortal, born between centuries. To find one we did have to search far and wide" Raghav said.

"Imagine finding someone who resembles you to the T" Aysha whispered to herself.

Nidha frowned at a memory "Well I did see someone who resembles to the T"

"What?" Many in the room exclaimed.

"I mean in a portrait in a palace, where I took few kids for a trip. There was this portrait who exactly resembled Fiza di" Nidha explained "Except her eyes, it was deep blue.In all the mess I forgot about it"

"That doesn't make Fiza a doppelganger" Armaan said fiercely, encircling an arm around Fiza.

"No it doesn't" Nikki stated

"Guys how can we be sure, I mean look at you all. None of us knew you even existed and yet you do. So can my doppelganger" Fiza said.

"Fiza you stay out of this" Armaan said.

"Armaan don't go all alpha, Nidha, Abhay, Jeh, Arnav all are risking their lives. You are being selfish" Fiza retorted.

"Fiza we only just got engaged" Armaan said.

"Abhay and Aysha are only just married. Please Armaan, you know it well that we need to stop the Aldars" Fiza caught his hand.

Armaan struggled for words but gave in when he saw Fiza's determination.

"The scepter's hiding place has been breached" Jeh announced walking into the room "It is safe for now and has been shifted to the next one. We have to move fast"

"I just remembered" Nikki said. She went into the next room. Few minutes later she came into the hall

"I just spoke the High Wizard through the mirror there, he says there is a spell which can help us confirm a Doppelganger's presence"

Later…

On the west side of Dehradhun…

Inside an old Palace…

"Her name was Ragini Maheshwari Rajwandh, Princess of Rajwandh Dynasty. She died at a young age. Cause is stated as plague" Nidha briefed Fiza, Armaan, Nikki , Raghav and Shabd as they walked towards the portrait "There it is" she pointed at the oil painting.

"Clear history, but often history lies" Raghav said

"Oh my God" Nikki exclaimed "Fiza it's you, minus your eyes" they were now looking at the portrait

A whole minute went by before the group regained it's composure.

"Okay now Fiza can you reach up to the portrait?" Shabd asked "Lifting it down might be difficult and this is a preserved place, we don't want to damage things. The guard will stay down only for a while"

"I will lift her up" Armaan said when Fiza nodded in negative.

"You are sure of the spell Nikki" Raghav asked to be sure.

"High Wizard believes so, I am inclined to agree with him" Nikki replied "Armaan and Fiza, if you will"

Armaan caught Fiza by the waist "Always together in thick and thin" he said.

"Always my love" she replied.

Armaan smiled and gently lifted her up but only after a kiss on her forehead.

"Good, now Fiza place both your hands on the portrait…yeah…place your palms..good…Nikki ready when you are" Shabd extended his hands to Nikki.

Catching it Nikki began chanting a spell and Shabd joined in. The spell went on for about half an hour. Fiza shivered just once and Armaan tightened his hold on her.

"The spell is done guys" Nikki said looking drained "Fiza did you feel anything?" she asked hopefully.

"Nothing noteworthy, other than may be a little more colder" Fiza said.

"It means there is no doppelganger" Nikki said. "The spell would've produced some sign to show a doppelganger's presence however far"

Armaan had to fight down his sense of relief, afraid it would show on his face.

"Now what?" Shabd asked

"Let's get back before someone….Fiza your eyes" Armaan exclaimed.

"What?" Fiza asked touching her eyelids.

"They are deep blue…means she exists…your doppelganger" Nidha said looking shocked

Raichand Mansion…

"Guys, we might be able to get our doppelganger, Armaan just called. We have bit of a grave digging to do. I am heading out to help them" Abhay informed all "With any luck Dad, by noon we can enter the mirror"

Near the Palace…

"Here it is" Fiza pointed at the grave of Ragini Maheshwari Rajwandh.

"Stand back guys" Shabd announced. He used a smell to push off the lid and lighted up the inner side of the grave.

"Blank" Nikki said dejected.

Abhay joined them with a spade.

"In for some old fashioned digging bro" Armaan jested.

"Though it might come handy numbskull…so it is blank" Abhay said and pushed his spade into the grave which made a clanking noise

"As if it hit metal!" Nidha said surprised "Dig in Abhay"

"Or better yet" Nikki removed the mud which was hiding a grave beneath to reveal a pure white marble gravestone.

Shabd tried to move it but couldn't "It's sealed with magic, we will need more energy. Raghave please join hands with me and Abhay with Nikki. Nikki" He extended his hands.

With renewed energy they began cracking the encasement. When that was accomplished everyone audibly gasped. For inside was lying the exact replica of Fiza, Ragini Maheshwari Rahjwardhan

"She is dead, so how can Fiza be the doppelganger" Armaan asked.

"She isn't dead her body has been encased in some kind of spell. She isn't breathing and" Nikki placed a hand on Ragini's heart "Part soul is in here with the preserved body"

"So she is technically not dead" Nidha asked.

"Partially not dead, which is why the earlier spell bore result" Nikki replied "I think we should take her, she might be of help in getting into the mirror"

"Inside the mirror there is a world of souls, maybe she can be completely rejuvenated there" Shabd said.

"Possible, let's take her" Raghav said.

Raichand Mansion…

Noon time…

All of them now including Shaurya and Sanju who came in search of Sur and Neil, who were briefed were collected in the Bogus Mirror room.

Abhay, Jeh, Arnav, Nikki,Nidha,Tirtha and Ragini (who was being held between Abhay and Jeh) were collected in front of the mirror. Sur was standing to a side

"Good luck bro" Neil wished Jeh

"You take care of my bhabhi , mom and yourself" Jeh replied. He gave his brother a quick hug.

"Sur, if I don't come back do tell my mom dad that I love them, a lot and I love you guys too" Nidha said to Sur.

"You better come back alive Nidh, you too Nikki" Fiza fought back her tears and the girls had a group hug.

"Abhay I love you" Aysha said trying not to cry.

"I love you too wifey" Abhay replied. He bent down towards her lips to share a lingering kiss.

Raghav surprised his son with a hug while all wished Tirtha good luck.

"Ready guys" Sur asked . She placed her right hand on the mirrors frame and the mirror surface began rippling . As the heir she already knew how to open it

"Abhay, you first" Sur gave her left hand to him. Abhay held it and stepped closer to the mirror surface. He gave one last look to Aysha before touching his face to the surface. For a few seconds nothing happened and then all of a sudden Abhay was sucked in. Aysha gasped and a tear she was holding back fell from her eyes.

"The doppelganger next, if this doesn't work Fiza di you have to step in" Sur said.

Fiza nodded and looked at Armaan. They shared a loved filled glance.

"I will be waiting" Armaan whispered.

Jeh gently leaned Ragini's face onto the mirror and Sur took her cold right hand , in her own warm left ones.

Minutes passed by without a movement and restlessness increasing.

"Guys I think I should go" Fiza began moving towards the mirror . She placed her hand on Ragini's back to move her away and next second both disappeared into the mirror.

"What was that?" Armaan exclaimed, aghast at Fiza's departure.

"Only time can tell" Chand replied.

One by one the seven pieces were sucked into the mirror world, to face unknown perils.
