This one's a bit later in time so RK and Madhu have come to "get used to" each other and are not friends but not enemies like before. The organ RK claims he doesn't have has started to work, for quite some time now.
40 Lakhs Later...
Part 1
"The Calm Before the Storm"
"Biwi what do you think?" I held the two ties in front of her, but she seemed lost.
"Biwi?" I tried to catch her attention.
Funny huh?
A few months ago, I would have dropped some glassware to get her attention but now I, myself, chose the human route and called out her name, well my special name for her.
I admit the name 'Biwi' was not given with the most due respect but it turned into a habit, and she knew I respected her but there was something about 'Biwi' that the simple name 'Madhu' didn't have.
"Uh sorry, yes." She snapped back to reality.
"I wanted to know," I whispered inches from her face, "Which one would force you to compliment me?"
Like I had mentioned, we weren't enemies, nor were we friends, lovers? It was a question. We were something in between. And so, we were not your typical sweet and sugarcoated couple. We had our own way of talking to each other, asking questions, it was a language I guess you could say.
"I don't know about forcing me to compliment you, but I think I have a red saari that perfectly matches that one." She pointed to the red tie in my hands.
I gave her a knowing smirk, "Bittu ji, get this red one packed, and that other 'thing' too."
"Sure chief," I replied taking the red tie out of his hands.
"What's the other thing?" she asked after Bittu ji had left.
"Nothing, let's get going..." I answered puting an arm around Madhu leading towards the exit door.

She stepped out of the shower that night too find a gift box on her bed with a note on top,
I had a lot of maroon ties.

She couldn't help but laugh at his wording. RK will always be RK. She opened the box to find a beautiful maroon sari.

I wasn't in love or anything. At least I believed so. Wait believed so? I knew so. But for all the crap she has taken from me, I felt she at the least deserved this pampering night.
It was nothing to get hyped up over though I reminded himself constantly but the message failed to reach the rejuvenated organ in his body. His heart.
I felt a breeze brush by my face when I turned around to see the elevator door slowly unleashing the beautiful image of an angel.
Biwi. My Biwi.

The elevator door slowly slid open to give her the most magnificent sight she had ever seen. He looked like prince, waiting patiently for his pri... she forced herself to stop thinking any further. They were just acquintances.
But then why did her heart start beating in an out of the ordinary rate when she saw him walk over, dilligently carrying his undescribable charm with him.
"May I?" He held out his hand as opposed to grabbing hers out of the blue.
"You may," she consent slipping her hand which so oddly fit perfectly into his as he lead them to a beautifully decorated table.
"What's the occasion?" She asked sipping the pinapple soda. Where did he find out about her liking of exotic sodas?
"No special occasion, just felt like it." He answered.
"Of course, superstar RK can..."
"Rishab," he cut her off.
"Huh?"
"I mean I wouldn't mind if you called me Rishab," he mumbled, clearly embarrased with his words.
"What happened to you? You're being sweet." She noted and then raised an eyebrow, "Did you get knocked up or something?" She giggled and then broke into a full fledge laugh.
He joined the laugh for a few seconds but was stopped when he caught himself staring at how beautiful she, no the moon reflected her beauty.
The rest of the evening was spent in similar bliss, a few wisecracks here and there, some jokes, a few dialogues, it was perfect and honestly, he couldn't remember the last time the world seemed so perfect. So peaceful.
"Acha listen, there's something I had to tell you." Madhu sipped the last of her soda.
"Yes," he leaned back in his chair.
"You know those 40 lakhs that this contract was made upon,"
"Yeah," he answered nonchalantly. He had long forgotten about them.
"Well I have them, and so I was thinking we can officially end this contract next Monday?" She asked him like those words meant nothing.
If only she knew how suffocated he felt right now.

Do let me know if you want me to continue it cause originally it was supposed to be an OS but halfway through it I started wondering how I could possibly continue it but wasn't very confident with it so just kept in an OS for the meantime. There's a bunch of changes in point of view too sorry!
