Towards your last post, I would also add this. RK wouldn't want the guilt factor to be added in Madhu's mind like he had added and suffered all his life for his father's death. Madhu definitely would have blamed herself for Shamsher treading on that extreme path. There was already that guilt accepted by her for Malik's condition when she accepted RK's offer of money against marriage with him. Then she already was feeling guilty of her growing regard for RK when she thinks of her father.
Its not difficult for RK to not see this and see at which level Madhu would be hurting most. That of fallen pride for her father...yes, but that was just only to make Malik see where he was going wrong. That was RK's antidote to Shamsher's obsession with his confused "Dileri".
But when thinking of Madhu, the guilt factor weighs. Well, that's how I would have taken it up story wise. Because RK is good and generous, but never for seemingly simple notions of goodness, he does things when it is absolutely needed of him to take care of things. Caring for Madhu to keep her pride is not as important as preserving her from complete breakdown. He has known these two things equally in his life and he knows what hurts most. Its always about the self what it thinks for itself. Guilt goes away with second chances, but what if there is no second chance at all...like cannot UNDO things.

SD,
Bold...Loved what you said here...so true..
@ other...I would like to see it that way too...RK trying to protect Madhu more so from the guilt rather than for her pride...Many times in life these intricate feelings are those that eat you up and destroy you overtime...eventually Madhu might understand Mallik but,it will be hard for her to forgive herself for being a reason for him becoming a gunegaar...RK is one who looks at things from the most basic primal level...he doesn't seem to dwell too much on the most obvious that's why its so hard for everyone to understand what makes him tick...hope
cv's would portray RK's concerns just the way you said...

He obviously understands that regardless of what Malik has meant to her she still holds the pain of what her biological father tried to do her inside of her. By bringing Malik's truth to the fore he's going to be adding more wounds to that buried pain, her biological father tried to kill her and her surrogate father is trying to kill her husband (the fact that he would attempt to kill anyone would be upsetting to her obviously). How can he, who himself has hurt her quite a bit, add to that knowing how much she's been doing to heal him.
He wants her close, he needs her close, she affects him in so many ways. I don't think he's ready to label the feelings he's having just yet but I don't think he's going to run scared right away either.
For a man that has been hurt and used and abused by pretty much everything in his life it's refreshing to have someone so seemingly pure see something in you that you hadn't even realized was there anymore.

Partner, Loved your whole post.. 😃 But these lines esp.. One ay Madhu is dgoing to know the truth about Malik.. How will she react then?

This is where you think like me. Put Malik in Raskolnikov's character. The act of murder through given a noble character in his mind with lot of reasoning about the good it will bring about, is ALL ABOUT DETAILED EXECUTION OF KILLING. That explains why he would pick an ice-knife. And if that was not enough, he thinks of serrations for that knife. It finally hits him that he was actually killing when RK uses the word "Katil". Murderer is definitely not sounding a heroic act.
If you ask me why to deliberate on killing ...then it is primal feeling. Sense of power, relieving pent up frustration.
****Raskolnikov is the protagonist of Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky.
As for RK being the intelligent guy even to the extent of remembering page number. At normal, it is his intelligence and the way he is a control freak. And I would also add his psychotic traits. We cannot completely forget what kind of character he was at the beginning of the show. So not a big deal to remember the page number.

Agree with you SD... Malik has planned the killing in detail but not its consequences .. Does he even understand his daughter? His frustration has taken over his good sense, I think..

re. psychotic: u r right.. I had almost begun to forget how he was in the beginning, thanks to VD.. This guy is just awesome..

Loved your take on everything... it was just beautiful episode. Visual treat for Rishab fans.. 😃
Peaches your Rishab poetry was so beautiful that I have re-read it many times... It was tender-love of Rishab for his beloved Biwi.. 😳😳 I think maybe those things what you said must be going inside his head too.. or at least that was his expression, body language and eyes talking... Man!! This guy has one expressive face!! You can see everything on his face.. Both Biwi and Rishab have this one thing in common. they are expressive-passionate souls whose thoughts and feelings are shown for the world to see.. It is also that they both are straight-forward people... at least with one another... :D
only RK show the world their place.. if he hates them.. you see it.. if he respects them.. you see that too...
Preet... wow!! you have won me over.. just amazinggg take on the whole episode in the last post of yours...True.. he is falling for her.. especially he wants to be in her good books.. he wants all her attention towards him. He wants to be her world. I have read this book where they shown an ugly man falling in love a decent looking girl... and one had questioned what had the girl seen in that guy??? and the answer was... for the world, he may be nothing.. but for him she is the Queen of his heart and he is the prince of her heart... why prince and not King?? For King his duty towards his people comes first but for prince it doesn't... When I read it.. I just could not stop smiling.. it hit a cord in my heart... :)

So what you think?? RK is her prince or King?? She is the Queen of his heart.. hands-down..!!! Especially after seeing today's episode... Today was just RK's day.. it was all about his feelings.. And as I have said earlier. Guilt is creeping in his mind and heart.. and your Poem just said what his heart was crying out... He just wants to erase the past and start afresh... WOWWW!!!
Before I end.. I wanted to add another thing... especially about Malik and Rk.. Have anyone one of you read Paradise by Judth McNaught??? Then you will understand what I am trying to say here... It is one of my all time favorite read.. The whole book was beautifully written and all the characters were well written too... The only difference is in the book Matt Farel was a business tycoon and here our RK is a superstar... And he dares to marry the daughter of another high-society businessman. when he did not have a penny in his pocket. How he challenges the girls father... Malik reminded me of that father with his over-protectiveness for his daughter. In the book the father was arrogant, stubborn man who locked his daughter up with all his restriction and the daughter is just like Madhu.. Meredith... No matter what her father did, she never could truly hate him and how her father was against their marriage and to what extents he went to separate them.. But only murder was not in his radar... unlike malik.. he was an intelligent and calculative man...
PS: This is my last post of now... I am off to my cousin's wedding so will be missing out the show.. :( :( but no worries I will catch it up next weekend.. :D

Hey Shruti..
Paradise is one of my favourites too.. I am always looking for an excuse to read it.. 😆 Matt is one of my fav characters.. And also Cole from Remember when.. Infact I love almost all her books..
Thanks for the compliment re,If Only.. Though I still am not v happy abt that one.. My senselesssensations posts are always very cheesy... 😆
