Today I came across a video which showed the plight of Kashmiri Pandits who were forced to flee from their homeland. They are bound to live as refugee in their own country in squalid camps. As of recent statistics around 60000 Kashmiri Pandit families are living outside Kashmir.

They had to face ignorance and apathy on the part of government and human rights which is appalling. Honestly up till now I was unaware of them because this was not publicised as was needed. The media, government more or less kept silence on this matter.

What do you think whether the government should take a strong stand in order to rehabilitate them in their own land i.e Kashmir or at least provide them a proper living condition by relocating them to other states of India.

If anyone is interested, here is the video which states the condition of Kashmiri Pandits:

Maybe its a matter between Kashmiris, why should someone else decide for them?

But isn't Kashmir a part of India? So its the duty of the Indian Government to look into the matter and find solution. Letting the matter between the Kashmiris have led to this pathetic situation of kashmiri pandits.

I wasn't talking about Kashmir or India or Pakistan. Here I have raised issue of kashmiri pandits. Your video is wholly unrelated to the topic and doesn't make any sense.

Sure you wanna discuss about the plight of Kashmiri pandits without talking about Kashmir or India or Pakistan or religion! That makes the lyrics in the video even more relevant than before. Boundary need not be taken as only a national or a regional boundary . The manmade boundary depicts divisiveness inherent in human beings. If its not the national boundary it will be the interstate, intrastate, inter caste/class/color/creed divisiveness that leads to brutality of all sorts that can leave the Hurricane Sandy's death toll trailing far behind!

But if you were to include Kashmir, India leave aside Pakistan and religion for sometime we could talk about the special state of autonomy granted to Kashmir by our Constitution that greatly restricts the power of the central govt. Law and order is anyway a state subject and the problems of Kashmiri pandits ought to be solved by its elected govt.

If you have some solutions or suggestions to sort out their problems by any other feasible means we could discuss those.

Already 65 years has passed without solution...due to poor govrnance, they had to leave their motherland...news says they left 20000+ buildings and 10000+ acres of lands...sometime I feel Indian Judiciary is also on the same "SICKULAR" mindset,it seems, Govt should rebuild their houses, give them police protection and pay compensation for lives lost and property destroyed.
